A new online community platform is set to launch in Vermont as the Vermont Stands Up organization prepares to debut what it calls “Vermont’s Back Porch.”
The group says the forthcoming site is designed as an alternative to Front Porch Forum (FPF), offering members a place to connect, share information, and communicate without what it describes as censorship or harassment.
FPF, a Vermont for-profit community news sharing platform, had been known to censor statements, links and organizations due to messages that don’t meet its community standards. For example, in recent years VDC news stories may not be shared on FPF.
According to an announcement shared with supporters, the platform will serve as a digital gathering space “with room for members to connect with each other, build networks and help us meet our mission.” VSU said the service will prioritize open conversation among “real, human neighbors.”
The group expects to transition to the new platform over the next week and plans to issue updates every few days.
VSU advocates for several controversial health-related policies, including opposition to mandatory masking, mandatory vaccination, and 5G cell phone tower projects.

Can you call it something different than back porch so there is no mistaking that
biased platform .
The reasoning for “back porch” is to provide an alternative to “front Porch”, where a bigger audience can participate, come’on, even Keb Mo and Taj Majal promote something other than the main stream, but in reality its something we all want, it should be ok in Vermont to sell trade promote things other than the so called politically correct things, which is amazing in itself. Heck its ok for a FPF commenter to promote “we are Atifada” or MAP’s , but God forbid a bible conference or a Republican meeting announcement be published, Back Porch Forum is exactly what we need, Lou, what are you afraid of?
Awesome, Congrats. They will make a big difference in offering an option other than that Commie rag. I wonder how much the State will kick in towards this public service, like do for FPF.

I have issues with FPF myself and the political use of it by the “INDIVIDIBLE” groups and their BS. I wrote to the Governor asking how much money the State taxpayers were providing for that rag. Below is the reply from his office.

Wonderful news! I was censored by FPF 1.5 years into the pandemic for not agreeing with a senior who insisted that the entire state needed to continue wearing masks every day to keep our communities safe. I suggested that if masks were going to stop the spread of COVID-19 they would have done so over a year ago. I asked why can’t Vermont move on and let people make their own decisions relative to wearing masks.
I’ve got you beat. I was banned by FPF when I lived in Colchester for writing about how freedom of speech is an inalienable right. For that, FPF removed my inalienable right. (Or believed they did). Communists are oft narcists.
These sites btw exist across this entire nation. FPF is not exclusive to VT. It operates within New England and goes by various names in other regions, but it serves the identical purposes: To propagate radicalism & socialism and to censor anyone who does not concur with their ideologies.
In response to what Kathleen J. Gaffney wrote, I highly suspect FPF is a deep-state operation to spy on everything we do & say (using AI). Just like they do via our cell phones & laptops. They may have a designated “CEO” .,. or so-called FOUNDER with a name, etc. but it’s ALL FAKE. They want to make certain we are not organizing … AND more importantly … NOT WAKING up the Liberals who have been effectively brainwashed to cooperate in their agenda; that they “Follow Orders & do not Question MSM”
