Alarm bells started ringing among some voters after Vermont Secretary of State Sarah Copeland-Hanzas urged in a press release this week, ‘make sure you get your ballot in the mail today!’

These voters contacted VDC with their concerns. In response, VDC asked the Sec State office if there’s a particular, potential problem voters don’t know about that would warrant a sense of urgency.

The answer: no. The SOS is just being mindfully prudent about the U.S. mail.

“The release was sent out for awareness; to encourage voters to be mindful of potential delays due to mail service,” spokesman Bryan Mills said.

Here’s the complete paragraph from the press release: “Mailing your ballot back to your clerk’s office is a convenient, easy way to cast your vote, but it’s crucial that you mail it in time for your clerk to receive it by 7pm on Election Day,” she said in a news release issued on Oct. 16. “If you’re voting this way, make sure you get your ballot in the mail today!”

If you haven’t received your ballot….

The press release also said “the state has mailed general election ballots to all active registered voters.” However, some registered voters have not yet received their ballots, according to citizen reports emailed to VDC.

“One of my friends called me about this last night,” a former state senator emailed VDC. “Her son had not yet received his mailed ballot and wanted to vote. So he went to the town office and they provided him with a substitute ballot and he signed the affidavit stating he has not completed another ballot, and he voted, as is the process if a voter fails to bring their ballot or did not get one.”

Voters who haven’t received their ballots may 1) check with their local Town Clerk’s office for certainty of registration and/or 2) do as the man above did, and show up to vote in-person without the ballot that was mailed to them, they can sign an affidavit of “No Ballot Cast” and will receive a new ballot to vote then and there.

Some town clerks have expressed concern that they may lack a supply of blank ballots if too many voters arrive at the polls without theirs. However, the Town Clerk may in a pinch resort to recycling blank returned ballots and print out new ballots, a Washington County Town Clerk said.

There are several ways for Vermonters to vote:

  • Mail their ballot back to their clerk’s office.
  • Bring their ballot to their clerk’s office in-person during their open hours.
  • Drop their ballot into an official ballot drop box any time before Election Day.
  • Bring their ballot with them to their polling place on November 5.

  1. Sec. Sarah Copeland-Hanzas (bonus points for hyphened name) is concerned about ballots not getting to VT from out of state non resident voters via USPS in time. I personally have 4 friends who have moved out of VT in the past 7 years due to taxes and politics to FL and TN, and all officially changed their legal residency. Three of the four received a ballot AGAIN this year.

    • Your friends who moved out of state should get in touch with the town clerk in Vermont where they were on the checklist and let the clerk know they no longer reside in that town. If that clerk is doing their job, the voter should then be removed from that checklist. BTW, you can ask to view your town’s checklist and report to your town clerk any voters whom you believe no longer live in the town. Then, your town clerk should send out a challenge letter to that voter. Keeping voters on checklists where they no longer live is obviously unacceptable, but we can all do our part to get these Vermont voter checklists cleaned up.

    • With regards to Swal’s comment my friends did go to their respective towns of Fletcher and Grand Isle and were told to report it to Jim Condos (when he was still Sec) which they did to no avail. Now they are just collecting them as evidence.

    • Nothing says lack of integrity like pointing at the hole in the dyke and saying, “Hurry across the levee now while you still can…cuz its gonna break”, and your vote won’t count.

Also… lobbyists for Fed Ex, UPS, etc., in DC want you to think the USMail is failing… if you look into the history of Congress and the USPO you find out that back in the 70s (I think…correct me if I’m wrong), CONGRESS mandated the USPO to pay ten years ahead into the retirement/pension plans of ALL their employees, which amounts to several billion dollars. NO OTHER COMPANY in the US has ever been mandated to do such a thing, ever in the history of Congress. This pretty much means ALL their surplus goes to that fund…and does not get turned around back into services, and streamlining thereof — BY DESIGN. If you compare profits of like companies over the past decade or two, you find the USPO’s failing, while these other companies pick up the slack, and the profits!!! Especially during the plandemic which meant more illnesses (whether mask created or fear created) of employees, and a dirth of replacements. They have never recovered.
Score for FED EX, UPS etc… eh??? Look at their profit margins and look at the USPS.
The USPS has tied people together for several centuries… whether its meeting up at the post office, or through letters and postcards… its a societal connecting and even gathering place, by tradition. Gone. Along with our connections to our neighbors. Its purposeful to remove that means to connection, and its a cancel culture in play to take out the USPS. We should do all we can to keep that institution alive. They are suffering right now, yes. But the USMAIL has a long and rich history that is part of our cultural landscape and should be preserved — let alone bring back letter writing… just sayin’.
My take on this warning its just another slam against the USPS… self-fulfilling prophecy… and fear mongering.

BTW… Justice Watch FOIA’d the DNC for their playbook for this election and got it… its an interesting read, given that everything in the playbook has come into play… worth looking. They are a LOT more organized than conservatives… for their endgame… tyranny.

  2. Here is the evidence of Mail fraud and additionally, the courts acted unconstitutionally to refuse to hear the evidence on the basis of lack of standing that a harm generalized is not a personally actionable harm. See this: The “Royal Flush”
12-13 MILLION FRAUDULENT “MAIL-IN BALLOTS WERE INTEGRATED” INTO THE 2020 ELECTION – “AND THAT’S JUST IN THE NORTH…THERE WAS SOMETHING SIMILAR GOING ON IN THE SOUTH.” – PATRICK BYRNE

Thought you should see the strength of this evidence:

  3. Ask yourselves: Is this Free And Fair voting when certain voters do not get their ballots by mail while other voters get multiple ballots by mail?

There is much, much more to the farce of “mail-in voting.” I am working (literally, lol) on these mail-in ballot issues.

  4. I sent a check in a pre addressed envelope to the Malloy campaign at a Washington DC address. That was over a month ago. The check has not cleared yet. I wonder if a postal employee somewhere along the way filed it in a circular file somewhere.

    • Not to worry. It is floating around in USPS ether. I made a payment by check in early September. Over a month later it had not cleared, and the company had never received it, so I put a stop payment on it at the bank. That is all it took for the check to suddenly pop up for payment. Too late. I also received a card in the mail yesterday 17th. It was mailed on October 10th. Cross country mail? No. Witten 1 mile from here, mailed at a PO 1/2 mile from here. Author should have walked it to me.

  5. I will bring mine in on election day as I have in the past. I’ll watch it go in the machine and at least I can say I did all I could for it to be counted properly

  6. So if that ballot was mailed out and that person didn’t receive it but they receive a substitute ballot from the town clerk, how do they know where that other ballot went or that it shouldn’t be counted?

    I’ll wait.

  7. They won’t know how much to cheat if you don’t get them in early.

Voting in person on the actual vote day, like we should do. Thankyouverymuch.

    • Our Vermont Election System is not Constitutional. It was put in place in May of 2021 when the Vermont Legislators made the Emergency Covid Voting System to be Vermont’s Permanent System. This on top of the previously mandated computer tabulating machines for “counting” our votes.

1.) They removed the Ballot Chain of Custody that existed pre-Covid making
the system un-auditable. Our Constitution states we are to have a “Free
and Pure Election System without Corruption.” (VT Constitution, Article 8)
If our Vermont Election System is not auditable, how do we know it is,
      “Free, Pure and without Corruption?”

2.) Our Constitutions (Vermont and US) state that the qualifications for voting
are to be a United States Citizen and at minimum 18 years old. (VT
Constitution, Article 42) Non-citizens are allowed to have Vermont Driving
Licenses. The DMV is automatically registering voters which allows non-
      citizens to vote.

Also, some Vermont Towns are allowing 15 – 17 year olds to vote. They say
this is only in local elections. Do they keep track?

2.) They have also taken away our “Election Day” which has also violated our
Constitution. (VT Constitution, Article 44) Our Constitution specifically
states our Election will be on the first Tuesday of November. We now have
a Vermont Election period of 40+ Days.

We the People of Vermont, need to take our Election System back from the Flawed, Unconstitutional, Corruptible System it has become.

ALL who agree should go on Election Day, November 5th to vote. Ask for a Ballot and Sign an affidavit. Let’s send a message by voting on our True and Right, Constitutional Election Day!

  8. Drop boxes? (https://www.vpirg.org/vermont-ballot-drop-box-lookup/) Some towns don’t even have the option? Who, by chance, is tracking and validating the chain of custody of dropped ballots on the floor, in a box or where have you, once it leaves the voter’s (or the mule’s) hand into a slot, box, inside the wall, in the door to the left of the building, next to the library, etc.? Vermont ballots sent all over the United States? So much for clean voter rolls, fair elections, and a Republic, of which, no longers stands evidently.

A complete and utter farcicle bondoogle of sheer, stupendous incompetence – willingly and knowingly. Dispicible. Of course, can’t expect any better from Soros financed, globalist, CCP operative, installed, belligerent occupiers.

    • Use common sense and logic Brian. If you do know and fully acknowledge ALL the moving parts of Vermont’s Election System, it is plain to see it’s easily corrupted. There is no Ballot Chain of Custody, so it’s un-auditable. Do The People of Vermont have the right to be able to fully know and trust their Election System?

Our Vermont Constitution says YES. The description says: “Free, Pure and without Corruption.” Also, Voters who are “US Citizens and 18 Years Old.” Also, one Election Day, specifically “the second Tuesday in November.”

    • Re: “The assumption of fraud does not constitute fraud.”

Nor does the assumption that elections are secure constitute secure elections.

The problem is, of course, that these are all ‘assumptions’. With Vermont’s election system, there’s no way to be certain of anything.

Prediction: The losers in the November election, whoever they are, Republicans and Democrats, will claim election fraud. That’s the nature of a two-edged sword.

What? Democrats in Shelby County Tennessee and Election Commissioner, Vanecia Kimbrow, are already sounding the alarm, claiming that voting machines are flipping their votes from Democrat to Republican candidates.

      Go figure.

  9. Just received my one ballot among the blizzard of ballots so recklessly mailed out by Vermont’s fraud squad. I promptly threw it in the basket for garbage pickup tomorrow and will cast one honest ballot vote in person in November. Such carelessness is being practiced throughout the country. Dems utilize every scheme to get extra votes…how many ballots have been mailed out to the exploited deceased this year?

  10. Covid was the excuse for mail in ballots. We didn’t need them then and we don’t need them NOW. They cost money and clearly are not as targeted as they need to be to be considered even close to secure.
