National Weather Service offers details on ‘fallstreak hole’

The National Weather Service is attributing a strange ‘hole in the clouds’ Sunday morning to a ‘fallstreak hole,’ a phenomenon caused by a rare interaction between airplane and cloud.
The National Weather Service displayed a photo of the cloud and reported on X at 11:08 AM:
“Did you see a hole in the clouds earlier today over the Champlain Valley? That’s called a fallstreak hole, or a hole punch cloud. This type of cloud is usually formed when the water temperature of the cloud is below freezing, but the water has not frozen. When an aircraft passes through the cloud, the air around its wings and body expands and cools, triggering the water droplets to turn into tiny ice crystals, which are heavier than droplets and will begin to fall out of the cloud, leaving a hole behind.”
The post had more than 3500 views as of Monday morning. Several commenters contributed their own photos, saying they were taken at about 8 AM. The location seems to be near the shoreline of Lake Champlain.
At least one commenter wondered if there’s something more going on: “How much cloud seeding is going on around here?”
Another person asked if there was a connection between that fallstreak and a photo of a contrail seen a day earlier near the same location.

LOL… oh my… isn’t this a piece of misdirection… lets NOT look at HAARP or scalar (radiowaves that create tinnitus among other things in humans AND birds) use for weather modification.
We should be blaming this on humans… but airplane pilots are innocent other than following orders that day. Scalar comes from air to ground to air satellites… and uses 5G and your cell towers…

You beat me to the punch. My thoughts exactly. I agree that the cause is HAARP and/or scalar waves (possibly including DEWs).
So since we’re on the topic of weather modification, let me ask you all, especially those of us who have been around awhile. Have you noticed the huge increase in stagnant rainy summer weather systems, especially the dreaded “upper level lows” which seem to be permanently parked over the eastern Great Lakes now? I remember seeing these in winter, but summer systems were always very progressive and out of here in 24 hours. Have you noticed now how the prevailing upper winds are from the north to the west the vast majority of the time? Which by the way causes the Midwest farming and agricultural states to bake and have droughts? And if our winds are ever from the south, why do they always bring rain?
Remember in the old days we always had what was called a Bermuda High in the summer? Where we could go a month or more with southerly winds and thunderstorms being the only precipitation? Remember the three Hs? Hazy, Hot, and Humid? Seems to me we’re only seeing maybe ten days like that every summer now. When was the last Bermuda High you can remember?
Must be my memory fading as I get older I guess. Yeah, riiiiight!
By the way, what do you call a “conspiracy theory” when it’s proven to be correct? Does it even have a name then, or is it just brushed aside in favor of the newest flavor of Project Mockingbird?
And how did I get this far without mentioning chemtrails? It’s good to see states finally passing laws banning them. Tennessee did – where does NH’s stand? You know what I’d do as governor of Tennessee? I’d send up the TN National Guard to identify the culprit and force them to land using any means necessary. Now wouldn’t that be a fun can of worms to open up. I know, I know, but I can dream, can’t I?

I am near the lake and got some pictures. Problem is that their story just doesn’t jive. My pictures are when the circle was forming. It was all blue skies and these smaller areas of ripple looking clouds started moving in to actually create the circle. I have pictures of it only half formed. I also live on the edge of the flight path and planes do not fly in that area as they would be crossing the path. I did post on their FB post. Yes I caught a lot of flack from the people with their eyes closed as they refuse to see anything. Well they can stay ignorant.
I demand this geoengineering to stop now over our state .States around us including NH have the wisdom and concern for their citizens to ban it over their airspace as do four other states that I know of .Demand no more ,Now ! We do not need imbeciles playing with weather and our lives . Why is it Vermont’s leaders
Are not even questioning and banning this practice .Highly Suspect if not outright criminal .Are you Vermont leaders so hip on forcing everyone to have an electrical vehicle that is stripping the earth in other ways you can’t see the Forest for the trees .Either way negligent. We want it to STOP!
Does this mean that they are trying to produce another weekend of rain dropping another 11 inches and flooding the state??? Oh God, I hope not.
Reading the Meteorological report…its clear that this is standard operating procedure for the future folks…if you don’t like “canned” weather… dig a hole and live underground. If you’re rich, you’ll be able to dial in your preferred weather pattern for your visit to Vermont…or the Bahamas or…Alaska…and, if you just wanna ‘sing in the rain’, why there’ll be plenty of rain SOMEWHERE on the planet…
The hubris of the report referenced above is that ‘prediction’ is the core reason for their ‘need’ to control the weather… weather has ALWAYS been GOD’s provenance. Wind we sew the wind, we reap the whirlwind.
Those extreme weather events we experienced here in VT since 2011? Why that was us stoopid humons challenging God and thinking we were learning what He knows about
EARTH”S HOMEOSTATIC (self-repairing and self-regulating) system that is so perfect we cannot comprehend that…we cannot actually control it without creating havoc in our wake…
Weaponizing the weather is purely a fascist fantasy… and a control-freak’s wet dream… because you know… wouldn’t want that birthday party spoiled with a little rain…wouldn’t want your children electrocuted while swimming in a lake….wouldn’t want that bouffant hairdo (am I daiting myself?) to collapse…wouldnt want the frogs and turtles to have their day in the rain…and by gar… we can’t have water unless our credit score complies with the fascists…so… no rain for YOUUUUUUU!!!!

We thought it was conspiracy that our air was going to be sold to us; that our water was going to be controlled access only; and that our food would be poisoned unless you had land to grow your own.
Oh yeah… good plan for a formerly agrarian state that actually had simple, happy people living in it…that out of staters could not get over being so friendly (and minding their own business btw) and being so simple…they wanted it…but they wanted their smart cities too…

On Sunday around 5 pm my daughter her husband and my 10 year old grandson were at Fenway Park in Boston for a celebration. They observed and photographed in the cloudy sky (no rain mind you) a “rare rainbow spot” right in the middle of the clouds above Fenway. Now that was God’s doing. I choose to believe too that my father was there in spirit because he was a big Red Sox fan and loved Fenway. He died at 72 from cancer and been gone since 1999.
