Seven handguns recovered

A man recently arrested in Burlington police tactical squad raid faces federal drug distribution charges.
Jahking Allah, 44, also known as “Stop Sign,” from Quaker Hill, Connecticut, was apprehended in the early morning of January 19 and charged in federal court with distributing cocaine base, according to the United States Attorney for the District of Vermont.
Court records reveal that Allah conducted two cocaine base sales to a cooperating individual in Burlington during January 2024. On the day of his arrest, law enforcement executed a search warrant at 195 St. Paul Street, Apartment A, where Allah was residing. Found inside the apartment were seven handguns, two of which were reported stolen. This marks one of the largest seizures of pistols by the Burlington Police Department during a single search warrant operation. About 85 grams of suspected cocaine base, about 25 grams of suspected fentanyl, and multiple digital scales were found.
If convicted, Allah could face a maximum prison sentence of 20 years. U.S. Attorney Nikolas Kerest commended the Burlington Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration for their collaborative investigative efforts. Assistant United States Attorney Nicole Cate is the prosecutor in this case, while Allah is represented by the Office of the Federal Public Defender.

If $arah $oro$ had been involved in this case, Jahking “Stop Sign” Allah wouldn’t have served 20 minutes.
just another out of state tourist bring products that vermonters need///
If we really want to see any disincentives to using guns, especially stolen guns in crimes this is where to start. Instead of passing gun laws that will only affect law-abiding citizens, let’s punish the criminals who are using and/or stealing guns. Mandatory sentences for people like that would find support from all the pro-gun groups in VT.
edwwilson, AMEN!
I agree, except that now we have to pay to house and feed and monitor this criminal for 20 years.
Mandatory sentences for the illegal use of guns will never pass in VT. Do you really think the Commiecrats would put their foot soldiers away.
Drug dealing in Vermont is easy, No permits needed.
Will our Governor support our southern border? Or just our northern border?
Apparently, you don’t need permission to cross the southern border either.
So maybe it’s not a coincidence? When you make things really easy and profitable, people gravitate toward that, be it trafficking individuals and armies across our southern border or dealing drugs in Vermont.
Where is the VTGOP on this.
Guy…..why don’t you ask our governor and leader of the VT GOP….what is your stance on the southern border, more so now that all the Republican governors are standing by Texas. Is there a difference in defending our northern vs. southern border?
Curious Vermonters are asking.
According to former Arizona GOP party chair, Jeff Dewitt, the cartels are running in all 50 States and the “boys” back East have lots of money to sideline who they don’t like. Hate to break it to Phil, but I believe Governor Abbott is now the most popular governor in the USA. Perhaps the paid pollsters can debunk that fact and collect some more chump change this selection season.
