Addison: Middlebury police cited Timothy E. Edwards Jr., 38, of Ripton, on hate-crime disorderly conduct, conditions-of-release, and resisting-arrest charges after he allegedly shouted racial slurs near the pavilion off Mary Hogan Drive on Aug. 17. Read more

Bennington: Bennington County Superior Court sentenced Robert Weigner on DUI and reckless endangerment charges Aug. 27, stemming from a September 2025 arrest for allegedly driving drunk with an 8-year-old passenger after an argument with his partner. He received a $1,000 fine and a suspended sentence with probation. Read more

Essex: David G. Cahen, 49, of Gilman, was arrested on an outstanding domestic assault warrant after police responded to an unrelated dispute on River Road on Aug. 26. He was lodged on $500 bail. Read more

Franklin: Craig Fuller, 41, of Richford, was cited on a burglary charge after allegedly entering a Green Avenue building without permission and committing petit larceny on Aug. 23. He’s due in Franklin County court in late September. Read more

Lamoille: Richard Spaulding III, 54, of Morrisville, and Shyann McNeal, 28, of Craftsbury, were arrested on drug possession charges after a traffic stop on Route 15 in Johnson on Aug. 25. Both are due in court in October. Read more

Orange: Albert Lambert, 53, of Washington, was arrested Aug. 27 and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, sexual exploitation of a minor, and lewd and lascivious conduct with a child, stemming from an Aug. 26 incident on Lambert Road in Washington, according to the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations. He was arraigned Aug. 28 and ordered held without bail. Read more Also this week, Candy LaPlante, 43, of Orlando, Florida, was arrested Aug. 26 at a Braintree residence on a warrant for failing to appear on a 2018 DUI charge. Read more

Orleans: Aron Crews, 19, of Barton, was arrested on domestic assault, reckless endangerment, and unlawful restraint charges after allegedly injuring a household member in two incidents Aug. 25-26 on Duck Pond Road and fleeing before troopers arrived. He was held on $5,000 bail. Read more

Rutland: Tyson Evans, 19, was arrested after a head-on hit-and-run crash on Piedmont Drive Aug. 27 that police believe stemmed from a road-rage incident near Killington; he allegedly fled on foot and tested nearly twice the legal alcohol limit. He pleaded not guilty Aug. 28 to DUI, negligent operation, and related charges. Read more

Washington: Wyatt Willis Jr., 39, of Newport, pleaded not guilty Aug. 24 to felony first-degree aggravated domestic assault after allegedly assaulting a woman at her Barre-area home Aug. 20 while already on probation for assaulting her previously. He’s held without bail. Read more

Windham: Devon Longueil, 33, was found in violation of sex-offender probation Aug. 26 in Windham Superior Court after having contact with a young child; a judge tacked on an additional year in prison for the 2025 lewd-and-lascivious conviction. Read more And in a long-running case, a judge ruled Sept. 1 that the second-degree murder prosecution of Jozsef Piri, 52, can proceed to trial in the 2019 shooting death of a delivery driver on Route 103 in Rockingham, calling the state’s case circumstantial but sufficient. Read more

Windsor: Nicholas Tessier, 35, of Hartland, was arrested Aug. 27 on domestic assault and cruelty-to-a-child charges after a reported altercation at his residence. He was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility on $200 bail. Read more

St. Albans Barracks — Curfew Violation Arrest: Mark Maskell Jr., 39, of Swanton, allegedly violated a curfew release condition and was located in Highgate Aug. 30, cited, and lodged on $5,000 bail. Read more

New Haven Barracks — Warrant Arrest: During an Aug. 31 traffic stop, troopers identified passenger Kevin Langlais, 44, of Rutland City, as having an outstanding warrant; he was arraigned in Addison County the same day. Read more

Royalton Barracks — DUI Drug Arrest in Bethel: Robert P. Vogt, 64, of Cortlandt Manor, N.Y., was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after an Aug. 30 traffic stop near Route 12. He’s due in Windsor County court in October. Read more

Rutland Barracks — Aggravated Assault in Mendon: Rachele Kyhill, 25, of Rutland, allegedly threatened a victim with a deadly weapon during an Aug. 29 dispute and was taken into custody the next day for arraignment. Read more

Derby Barracks — Single-Vehicle Crash in Brunswick: Ryen Bowling, 23, of Barton, left Route 105 and struck several trees early Aug. 30, suffering non-life-threatening injuries. Read more
