The Case of the Missing Corvette

The Vermont State Police are again asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 1993 Chevrolet Corvette belonging to a Fletcher man after the vehicle’s whereabouts remained unknown for more than a year.

According to a news release issued Thursday by the St. Albans Barracks, the Corvette belongs to Charles Hagar, 65, of Fletcher.

Police said Hagar allowed a friend to use the vehicle during the summer of 2024. However, the friend later died unexpectedly, and investigators have been unable to determine what happened to the car or where it may be located.

Troopers emphasized the case is considered non-criminal at this time, and they are seeking public assistance in locating and returning the vehicle to Hagar.

The incident was reported under case number 25A2001370. The original investigation began March 6, 2025, on Buck Mountain Road in Fletcher.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the Corvette is asked to contact the Vermont State Police St. Albans Barracks at 802-524-5993.
