Woman run over by dump truck dies of abdominal trauma

A 43-year-old woman from Wolcott died Saturday night after authorities say she was run over by a motor vehicle, according to the Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department.


Deputies were notified at about 11:05 p.m. on March 1 that a woman had been brought to Copley Hospital by a friend after suffering significant abdominal trauma reportedly caused by being run over by a vehicle. Hospital staff determined the victim was deceased.


The victim was later identified as Kylee Bean, 43, of Wolcott.


Investigators identified the involved vehicle as a white 2019 Ford F-550 with a dump body. The truck was operated by Todd Glowa, 52, also of Wolcott.


Through their investigation, deputies determined the incident occurred in the area of Elmore Pond Road and Brookview Lane in Wolcott. Authorities believe the incident took place at approximately 9 p.m.


The circumstances and details surrounding the incident remain under active investigation, the sheriff’s department said. The department was assisted by the Morristown Police Department.
