A 38-year-old Florida man wanted on multiple felony sex-related charges was arrested in Burlington Monday night and is being held pending extradition, police said.
According to a Burlington Police Department media release, officers arrested Jonathan R. Browne, 38, of Live Oak, Florida, on the evening of Dec. 22, after receiving a “be on the lookout” alert from the U.S. Marshals Service. Browne was wanted as a fugitive from justice out of Florida.
Florida authorities allege Browne faces multiple felony charges, including sexual battery, lewd and lascivious molestation, video voyeurism and possession of child sexual abuse material. The charges have not yet been adjudicated.
Burlington officers located a vehicle registered to Browne near 1925 North Avenue and monitored the area for about one hour, according to police. When Browne returned to the vehicle, officers arrested him without incident.
Browne was lodged at the Northwest State Correctional Facility and is being held on $500,000 bail, police said.

Looks like Vermont has a new type of tourist along with the drug dealers.
Yeah, but the drug dealer tourists never have to post bail, they just get a wagging of the finger, promise not to be a bad boy and come back for court someday. Hopefully there is no one rich enough and stupid enough to bail this dirtbag out.
