A Staples employee has been cited to appear in court after Berlin police investigated an alleged embezzlement at the office-supply store on Ames Drive in Berlin.
According to a press release issued Friday, officers responded to Staples on Nov. 21 after receiving a report that an employee had been taking money from the business. Sgt. Chad Bassette and Officer Gabriel Wendel reviewed surveillance footage and interviewed witnesses during their investigation.
Police said they located the employee, identified as Tanya Bohannon, 44, of Braintree, on Dec. 5. She was issued a citation to appear in Washington County Court in mid-January to answer to an embezzlement charge.

Embezzlement is now a common operation in the VERMONT ZOOWORLDORDER.
If a company treats their employees well, they are less likely to do this.
I gotta disagree with you here, Joe.
Your comment backhandedly condones a person’s evil behavior by blaming someone else for allegedly creating circumstances which forced him or her to do it.
For example, “If she wasn’t wearing such flimsy clothes, she wouldn’t have been raped.”
“If health insurance premiums weren’t so high, Luigi Mangione wouldn’t have had to murder the health care CEO.”
“If there wasn’t so much poverty in the city, he wouldn’t have had to rob the liquor store.”
“If her employer had just given her a better Christmas bonus, she wouldn’t have had to embezzle money from the company.”
“If he hadn’t been bullied so much, he wouldn’t have had to become a school shooter.”
“If You hadn’t put that woman in the garden with me, I wouldn’t have had to eat the forbidden fruit she offered me.”
Your line of reasoning negates personal responsibility by letting people off the hook for their own sins and the wrong things they do. It implies that our sins are externally induced instead of originating from the profound corruption within our own hearts.
If an employer doesn’t measure up to your satisfaction, you have the option of working elsewhere or for yourself. The reason people embezzle in Vermont is because our leftist-based criminal justice system will not hold them accountable. In Vermont, with prosecutors like Sarah George and Eva Vekos, IF you get caught, you MAY have to pay back SOME of the money.
While I 100% agree with your highlighting the fact that communist criminals like Vekos and George are responsible for the dismantling of the criminal legal system and the undermining of public safety, and lawbreakers are emboldened by the lack of consequences because of their failure to enforce sound justice, I disagree with the fact that you present that as the first cause.
On the contrary, people embezzle, steal, and cheat because of choosing the passing pleasures of sin and the deceitfulness of riches rather than fearing God and trusting Him as our good and gracious Father who provides all we need.
Failure to trust in and rely on God for everything, combined with allowing ourselves to be enticed and dragged away by the lusts embedded in our own deceitful hearts, is what causes us to take things which don’t belong to us, find ways of obtaining them by our own devices independent of God, or take take impatient shortcuts to get what God would have given us anyway.
It’s the first lie the serpent hooked Adam and Eve with, and the same lie is still being acted upon millions of times every day.
This is what makes the beauty and mercy of our Savior Jesus so priceless and wonderful. In His unfathomable love for us, He came to deliver us from our slavery to corruption and sin, to heal our blindness, and give us new birth and eternal life. It’s truly the heart of Christmas.
“The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light. And for those who lived in the land where death casts its shadow, a light has shined.”
Matthew 4:16
“Unfailing love and faithfulness make atonement for sin. By fearing the Lord, people avoid evil.”
Proverbs 16:6
Most everyone can understand “Thou Shalt Not Steal”, but the leftists in Vermont have redefined stealing as “equity enhancement” and that makes it ok if you need to do it to provide for your basic necessities like tobacco, alcohol and lottery tickets.
