West planning major sabotage at Zaporozhye nuclear plant – Moscow | 6 Nov 2025 | The West is urging Kiev to commit a major act of sabotage at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant that would lead to casualties among Ukrainian and EU citizens, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has claimed, adding that Moscow is set to be blamed for the incident. One of the proposals allegedly put forward by Kiev’s foreign backers as the “most effective,” is to commit a “major act of sabotage” that will result in significant civilian casualties, the SVR said. The West is said to be considering orchestrating an accident at the Zaporozhye NPP, Europe’s largest nuclear power facility, that would lead to a meltdown of the reactor core. The SVR stated that British NGO Chatham House has already calculated the consequences of such an accident and determined that residents of Kiev-controlled territories and EU countries near the Ukrainian western border would be in the area of radioactive particle dispersion.

NATO chief urges West to prepare for long-term confrontation with Russia | 6 Nov 2025 | NATO member-states must boost military production to be ready for a prolonged standoff with Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea, which are challenging the “global rules,” the bloc’s secretary-general, Mark Rutte, has said. Speaking to Western defense contractors at the NATO-Industry Forum in Bucharest on Thursday, Rutte told the bloc’s arms makers that “there is more c-sh on the table and even more will flow” amid NATO’s rearmament push. Moscow has rejected claims it harbors any aggressive intentions towards the U.S.-led military bloc, saying such allegations are being used by politicians in the U.S. and EU to scare the populations and justify huge increases in military spending. Russia also believes that NATO’s deepening involvement in Ukraine was instrumental in escalating the conflict in 2022.

Ukraine to lose key city within one week – Russian military commander | 6 Nov 2025 | Russian troops expect to fully capture the city of Kupyansk in Ukraine’s Kharkov Region within the coming week, according to the commander of the assault unit involved in the operation. Kiev has continued to deny the gravity of the situation on the ground. The Russian Defense Ministry says that the position of Ukrainian forces encircled near Kupyansk continues to deteriorate rapidly, leaving them no chance of escape aside from surrendering to Russian troops. The commander of the 121st Regiment of the 68th Motorized Rifle Division, call sign Lavrik, said that his unit cleared 25 buildings in the city on Wednesday alone and “continues to advance.”

U.S. seeking to expand military presence in Syria – Reuters | 6 Nov 2025 | The U.S. is seeking to establish a military presence in the Syrian capital Damascus by the end of the year, Reuters reported on Thursday, citing sources familiar with the matter. The U.S. has maintained a foothold in Syria through a controversial base in the southeast; it is surrounded by an exclusion zone which Moscow has claimed has become a safe space for terrorists. Neither former Syrian President Bashar Assad, toppled late last year, nor the new government led by ex-jihadist leader Ahmed al-Sharaa has authorized an American presence in the country. The looming agreement is linked to a non-aggression pact between Syria’s new authorities and Israel, according to the report.

Neighboring states invite disaffected NY, NJ, VA voters to move after Dems’ election sweep | 6 Nov 2025 | After Republicans suffered a bruising election night in Virginia, the governor of the state once part of the commonwealth issued a public invitation for disillusioned residents to head west. That and invitations from other states came as the trend of people fleeing New York City and New Jersey after elections continues to change political dynamics, including in one of the biggest swing states. “It’s about to get awful blue in the Commonwealth of Virginia,” West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey said after urban and suburban areas turned out for Democrats and overwhelmed comparatively anemic GOP turnout.

The American dream continues! Congrats, Mayor Zohran Mamdani,” Soros wrote, sharing a picture of him and Mamdani. George Soros in 2023 handed control over the family’s 25 billion-plus philanthropic enterprise that bankrolls leftist causes, otherwise known as the Open Society Foundations. In August, President Donald Trump called for George and Alex Soros to be prosecuted under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act due their alleged support of violent protests in the United States.

Maine voters reject voter ID; approve ‘red flag’ law | 4 Nov 2025 | Maine voters on Tuesday [insanely] rejected a ballot question requiring voter ID for elections but approved a red flag law allowing police to seize weapons from people deemed a threat to themselves or others. With about 50% of the vote counted Tuesday night, Question 1 was defeated by 59.5% to 40% while Question 2 was approved by a vote of 58.7% to 41.3%, according to a preliminary tally by the Associated Press. Question 1 had called for setting a requirement for Mainers to present a valid state ID or driver’s license to vote, limits the number of “drop” boxes for ballots and restricts the state’s absentee mail balloting process. Question 2 was a citizen-led initiative that asked voters to approve a red flag law, which would authorize families and law enforcement to petition a judge to temporarily restrict a person’s access to firearms.

Forgotten password, planned electrical outage, wrong pens. Oops. All among CT election day glitches | 4 Nov 2025 | As thousands of Connecticut residents cast their ballots in local elections Tuesday, they were greeted by the state’s new tabulator machines. While the new machines work like the old, officials said, some voters were confused, causing some delays and concern. “One issue we saw this morning, an election worker set a very secure password but forgot what it was so we had to reset the system,” Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas said. In another case, a registrar “got a notification that Eversource was performing a planned outage so we had to get on the phone and let them know, ‘hey, today is Election Day so this might not be the best day for that.’” One glitch impacted the new tabulators, she said, likely due to the writing implements that were used to fill out ballots. Some polling places, Thomas said, “aren’t using the recommended pen for filling out the ballots, so when it scans through the tabulators, it’s causing dirt on the headbut luckily we have almost 40 technicians from the tabulator company here in Connecticut today deployed around the state so they were able to go…”

Unofficial results indicate that the proposition decisively passed by just under 72% of the vote. SJR 37, which is linked to the ballot proposition, indicates that the language, “persons who are not citizens of the United States” will be added to the constitution’s list of classes of people who are not allowed to vote in Texas. “It is now in our Constitution that only US citizens can vote in Texas elections,” Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, declared in a post on X.

The Office of Deputy Attorney General, led by Todd Blanche, the second-in-command to Attorney General Pam Bondi, sent an email Wednesday evening to Bureau of Prisons Director William Marshall, Just the News has learned, calling on the BOP to look into how Peters could be moved from state prison into federal custody. The Gordon County producer noticed signs of illness on Wednesday and reported it to the Georgia Poultry Laboratory Network on Thursday, according to a Georgia Department of Agriculture press release. The following day, Georgia Department of Agriculture’s Emergency Management and State Agricultural Response Teams “deployed to the affected premises to conduct depopulation, disposal, cleaning, and disinfection.” For at least the next two weeks, state officials say, all commercial poultry operations within a 6.2-mile radius are under quarantine and will undergo surveillance testing.
