Dictators love big government. They remain in power through the long arm of the law and big government overreach. For them the government is their tool of control and pathway to creating a police state. Here in Vermont, many believe in limited government, town meetings, local control, and individual freedom. Our state flag’s motto of “Freedom and Unity” says it all.
It is this contradiction that calls into question why any Vermonter would support President Trump and the MAGA Party agenda. Here, we decide on our local budgets, municipal laws and regulations. We have our own School Boards, Select Boards, City Councils, Planning Commissions, and dozens of volunteer advisory committees, each committed to an effective and responsible function from the smallest village to our largest city. So strong is our commitment to local control that we sometimes struggle with laws and regulations coming from our local representatives in Montpelier.
This is why President Trump’s use of big federal government excessive overreach should run against the grain of Vermonters who cherish our tradition of town meetings and local control. Do Vermonters who voted for President Trump find the following actions by the Trump administration acceptable big government reductions? Do they still want the government to protect and provide some of these essential services? Consider the list below:
*Privatizing and reducing Medicare and Social Security benefits for all citizens.
*Eliminating heating and housing assistance programs for low income Vermonters.
*Defunding FEMA leaving Vermonters no federal flood or disaster relief support
*Calling in the National Guard to quell protests and patrol Vermont’s streets.
*Using ICE to round up Vermonters, legal or not, without required due process.
*Searching homes of Vermonters who are considered “the enemy.”
*Cancelling licenses of Vermont’s media outlets because of unfavorable coverage.
*Issuing lawsuits against Vermont law firms for challenging ICE or FBI actions.
*Defunding the ACA leaving thousands of Vermonters without healthcare coverage.
*Eliminating federal price supports and subsidies for electric vehicles.
*Making vaccinations unavailable to some Vermonters.
*Censoring books in Vermont’s schools and libraries.
Many of these reductions and total cancellation of programs have not yet begun, but when they do, they will directly harm tens of thousands of Vermonters. For example, 165,000 Vermonters rely on Medicare for health insurance and an additional 156,000 count on their Social Security check every month. 26,000 Vermonters receive heating assistance funds, and another 14,000 lower income Vermonters receive housing assistance. 189,000 Vermonters use the Affordable Care Act (ACA) as their primary health insurance program.
Worst still is the elimination of the Administration of Community Living that supports the 110,000 Vermonters with disabilities and the 183,000 seniors living alone. That’s close to 300,000 Vermonters who will lose this survival safety net. Who would want to watch so many Vermonters harmed by these executive actions?
What about the elimination of FEMA, the organization that provided Vermont communities over $100,000,000 in disaster relief from the floods of 2023 and 2024?
Is Vermont expected to pick up those costs? Just imagine where so many of our communities would be now and how unsettled those thousands of families would still be if there were no funding allowing them to recover and resume their lives.
Vermonters will also struggle with the Trump tariffs impacting supply chains of imported essential goods, all reducing our purchasing power, especially for lower income families. And for those who wish to move forward with clean energy initiatives, the war on solar and wind in defense of the fossil fuel industry combined with the elimination of electric vehicle subsidies and incentives, will put a stop to many of our state’s cleaner environment goals that address the climate crisis.
Let’s be clear. These are the actions of a Dictator, President Trump, who has been empowered by MAGA Party members in Congress, and by recent Supreme Court rulings. Who would be so callous, insensitive, without empathy and disrespectful not to feel any remorse about harming Vermonters? President Trump, that’s who.
All of this is an example of big government overreach at its worst: Creating conflict between those who desire limited government and local control and those who need some government programs to provide essential, quality of life supports. Ten of thousands of hard working Vermonters and the nation’s citizens deserve better, and should not have to live with the tension of this conflict.
Vermonters will honor our flag’s motto by voicing our “Freedom” from oppressive government actions, and we will show our “Unity” by our resistance to this MAGA nightmare of forced harmful government reductions led by President Trump, created by the Heritage Foundation, supported by a loyal Republican Congress, and permitted by a complicit Supreme Court.

Bossange your an idiot. Sincerely, Trump supporter.
Josh, comments like these don’t help the conversation except for showing your intelligence capabilities.
RE: ” comments like these don’t help the conversation…”.
Really, you’re one to talk, sir.
Nick, me not understand your big words. Must be my intelligence barrier. Orange man bad, right?
Well, yes: Orange man bad. And I am appalled at the division in the republican party. The republican party wants to relinquish state rights in favor of “orange man right about everything.” Just like his ugly red hat says. They cheer on whatever he says. Bossange’s list above is spot on. It’d be interesting to hear your perspective on said matters and refute what is there. Honestly.
Re: “Bossange’s list above is spot on.”
If it’s ‘spot on, it’s a pigeon poop spot.
Consider the false premise of Bossange’s first item on his list.
*Privatizing and reducing Medicare and Social Security benefits for all citizens.
First, privatizing goods and services is anything but ‘government over-reach’. Privatization is the antithesis of government.
And who says the assumption that citizen benefits are available only from Social Security and Medicare is valid? As long as the government confiscates taxpayer’s discretionary income to pay for inefficiently run government programs, it’s impossible to prove that private programs work better. No one can afford to invest in private alternatives.
This is, after all, the same circumstance we see today with Vermont’s public education monopoly. Sure, giving vouchers to parents to choose the best school for their children, public or independent, may reduce (take money away from) the public-school monopoly. But does that reduce the benefits the children receive when their parents can choose the school they believe best for their children?
Socialism is the same old story. “The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings. The inherent virtue of Socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.”
The rest of the items on the Bossange list are of similar ilk. Because Bossange, and Bernie, and those who support their dystopian views, don’t know what they’re saying, let alone what they mean to say. Their only retort is to project their misunderstanding of free enterprise on to those who criticize them… or respond with word salads and ad hominem attacks.
J, I didn’t use subsidies for my panels. I bought and installed them myself. And I do pay to be a part of the electric grid every month. And thank you for supporting the community by paying for the electric grid. We all appreciate it.
Not only an idiot. Bossange is too stupid to know he’s a COMMUNIST.
Mr. Rosato, Thankyou for the opportunity to expound on Vermont’s electric power subsidy issue, as I’m sure other VDC contributors more knowledgeable than I might also do.
First, I don’t believe you. That you bought and installed your solar panels is one thing. But in Vermont, you are eligible for various subsidies, whether you took advantage of them or not. And when you read the list below, it’s clear that you really don’t have a choice in the matter – you receive the subsidies… thanks in no small part to corrupt organizations like VPIRG and Efficiency Vermont (another topic I’d be happy to discuss with you).
Second, there is a federal subsidy for solar panel installations – the Residential Clean Energy Credit (also known as the Investment Tax Credit or ITC), which provides a 30% tax credit on the total cost of your solar system, including equipment, labor, permitting, and installation.
Then there are State funded subsidies.
– Sales Tax Exemption: Vermont exempts 100% of the 6% state sales tax on solar photovoltaic (PV) equipment and related components (e.g., panels, inverters, batteries, wiring) for systems up to 500 kW. This applies to purchases made directly by homeowners or through installers. Savings: Approximately 6% of equipment costs, or $1,000–$2,000 for a standard home system.
– Property Tax Exemption: Solar installations do not increase your property’s assessed value for education property taxes (the state’s primary property tax). Systems under 50 kW are fully exempt from the statewide education tax; larger systems (50–500 kW) are taxed at a flat rate of $4 per kW of capacity. This prevents your tax bill from rising due to the added home value from solar (typically 3–4% increase).
-Vermont Investment Tax Credit (Limited Availability): This state credit mirrors the federal ITC for certain solar investments but is primarily for business or qualifying rehabilitation projects. Individual homeowners may qualify if the system is eligible for the federal ITC, but it’s not widely used for standard residential installations.
– Solar for All Program (Upcoming): Funded by a $156 million EPA grant under the Inflation Reduction Act, this program launches in the second half of 2025. It includes the Residential Assistance in Solar Energy (RAISE) initiative, targeting low- to moderate-income households. Benefits may cover up to 100% of costs for net-metered rooftop systems up to 5 kW, via subsidized loans (non-profits own the system temporarily to claim federal ITC via elective pay) and direct incentives. Eligibility focuses on income-qualified Vermonters; applications will open through the DPS—monitor publicservice.vermont.gov for updates.
Then there are utility-based subsidies including but not limited to:
– Net Metering: All utilities must credit excess solar energy exported to the grid at the full retail rate (about 22 cents/kWh in 2025, higher than the national average). Credits apply to future bills and can offset 100% of usage. Systems up to 15 kW qualify for standard rates; larger ones may have adjusters (e.g., -1 cent/kWh for rooftop systems ≤15 kW).
– Battery Storage Incentives (If Adding Storage): While not for panels alone, utilities like Green Mountain Power offer up to $10,500 per battery system via programs like Bring Your Own Device.
Total potential savings: 30% federal credit + 6% sales tax exemption + net metering bill reductions (lifetime savings ~$30,000) could cover 40–50% of upfront costs. Vermont’s high electricity rates (22+ cents/kWh) make solar pay back in 7–10 years. But without subsidies the pay back period would be in excess of 20 years… not viable under free market conditions.
BTW: One of the reasons Vermont’s electricity costs are as high as they are is because GMP, for example, pays approximately 17-22 cents per kwh for solar energy. Meanwhile, it could be purchasing more power from Seabrook, NH and Canada (Hydro Quebec) for less than half that cost (again, discussion for another time).
Not sure if this was written to duplicate ” bananas” so aptly written by the editor but the points made by John are equally silly.
Are you able to rebut the ‘silly’ points made by john or is that the extent of your abilities?
Does Mr. Rosato’s retort show us his ‘intellegence capabilites’ too? Where’s the beef?
Ok J. I agree with Bossange. Specifically, I agree that it would be a terrible idea to deploy the national guard onto VT streets. I’m concerned that trump will deploy troops right around election season next year to create unnecessary fear about rigged elections.
I’m also concerned about trump trying to eliminate federal funds for electrical vehicles and solar infrastructure. Doing so, makes it more difficult for Vermonter’s to be energy independent. (Thank you Charity Clark for joining a multi-state lawsuit against Trumps EO stopping the distribution of congressionally mandated funds.) Further, I’m grateful for my solar panels because I don’t have to rely on oil, propane, or natural gas companies. Solar energy allows me to be independent from their price uncertainty. Incase you didn’t know, the sun’s energy is free! And i can use it to heat my home, cool my home, run my water heater, my refrigerator, my cook stove, my washing machine, my clothes dryer, and to charge my computer so I can watch the decay of the American right on this forum. Solar energy a kind of independence Vermonters should embrace.
Re: “Specifically, I agree that it would be a terrible idea to deploy the national guard onto VT streets. I’m concerned that trump will deploy troops right around election season next year to create unnecessary fear about rigged elections.”
Pure projection. Pure speculation. The sky is falling and a piece of it hit me on the head.
‘Create unnecessary fear about rigged elections’? Who are you kidding? I have had an innate fear of rigged elections ever since 2020.
Oh, but my fear is unfounded you say. There’s no proof that elections have been rigged. – And there’s no proof they haven’t been rigged either.
Re: “I’m also concerned about trump trying to eliminate federal funds for electrical vehicles and solar infrastructure. Doing so, makes it more difficult for Vermonter’s to be energy independent.”
Who says Vermonter’s can’t be energy independent on their own? After all, if EVs and solar require Vermont taxpayer subsidies, does confiscating their discretionary income to fund the subsidies make them more or less independent?
Re: “Incase you didn’t know, the sun’s energy is free!” No it isn’t. You had to confiscate some of my discretionary income, without my consent, to pay for it. And when the sun doesn’t shine, you take even more of my income to buy power from the grid that I’m forced to subsidize.
“The task of weaning various people and groups from the national nipple will not be easy. The sound of whines, bawls, screams and invective will fill the air as the agony of withdrawal pangs finds voice.”
Josh, believe you are being too severe in your criticism, everything pointed out delineates Bernie’s Communist and the Socialists in the Democrat Party talking points and party line.
Ron, socialism is defined as “a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.” The Trump administration just purchased a bunch of the company Intel. That is socialism, full stop. Do you support the government owning Intel?
Nick, nothing involving the purchase of Intel stock was seizure, it was a purchase. Personally I don’t fully agree with it but can see the capitalist economic principles in it. Did you also call Obama purchasing GM stock Socialism? In the common vernacular ‘Socialism’ is commonly referred to as a light communism with government ownership and dictation of most if not all aspects of your life, no matter how it is packaged ‘for your own good’, just like a prominent Democrat US Senator last week saying there are not unalienable rights, that all rights including the Bill Of Rights are Granted by the Government, not God.
In case anyone missed previous Rosato comments on the Intel issue, please note that his opinion continues to be uninformed, unsubstantiated and inaccurate.
Trump didn’t just ‘purchase’ Intel stock. The money was already allocated to Intel by the Biden administration as unaccountable grants in the so-called CHIPS Act. Remember that Speaker Pelosi and her husband made a fortune from insider trading on Nvidia stock as a result of the CHIPS Act. Trump simply ‘converted’ the grants to a passive, minority investment without operational control by the government. Trump won’t make any money on the deal. But American taxpayers might… for a change.
And Rosato’s assertion that socialism is but ‘a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole’ is equally misleading. In socialism, it’s a government oligarchy or dictatorship that controls the economy, not ‘a community’ or a free market. Just ask Rosato to cite a successful instance in which socialism improves a community’s standard of living better than a free-market economy does. Then get ready to receive a ‘word salad’ of innuendo and ad hominem attacks from him, as I received when I tried to reason with him. As the paraphrased adage says:
‘Arguing with someone so uninformed is like trying to play chess with a pigeon; no matter how accurate and reasonable you are, even when you throw crumbs for it to eat, the bird is just going to knock the pieces over, poop all over the board, and then fly away.’
Ron, I’m glad you don’t fully agree with it. As a republican, I did not support Obama purchasing GM. And yes, it was socialism when Obama did it. From my perspective, if GM was failing, so be it. I don’t agree with government bailouts for big businesses. The same with Intel. There is no free market when the government owns businesses. Trump supporters need to stop calling democrats ‘socialists and communists’ when trump is the one doing what socialists and communists do.
Jay, you’re the best! Re: “Trump simply ‘converted’ the grants to a passive, minority investment without operational control by the government. Trump won’t make any money on the deal. But American taxpayers might… for a change.” I suppose with that logic the US government should own more businesses so the american taxpayer might make money? That is exactly what Bernie has been saying for decades. But when trump ‘converts’ a grant to ownership you’re ok with it. Hahah! Milton Friedman would love your logical twist. Or would he? Could you educate us on his approach toward free markets as you’ve done in the past? He was a huge proponent of converting grants to ownership, right? It’d be safe to say that communist China with their government ownership of businesses is doing well, afterall, we buy tons of stuff from their country. (But that does not make me a fan of their economic system.)
Re: “I suppose with that logic the US government should own more businesses so the american taxpayer might make money?”
In the context of the Intel funding via CHIPS Act allocation of taxpayer funding, yes. Instead of just giving money away to Intel, as the CHIPS Act did, it’s better to get something in return.
Should the CHIPS Act have been passed by the Biden folks in the first place? No. At least not in the form it was offered. Apparently, the only way to ‘claw’ the money back was to roll it over into an equity position.
Re: “He [Milton Friedman] was a huge proponent of converting grants to ownership, right? “
No. Of course not. Friedman wouldn’t have been a proponent of the grants in the first place. The only caveat being that of the National Security and Defense aspects to computer chip availability… defense of the nation being one of the responsibilities of government.
“Government has three primary functions. It should provide for military defense of the nation. It should enforce contracts between individuals. It should protect citizens from crimes against themselves or their property.”
And who knows what Bernie Saunders says or means in this regard? He makes no better sense of the economic chess board than you do.
J, I truly enjoy you trying to explain government ownership in companies as something other than socialism. To be clear, i’m not a fan of government supporting businesses through ownership. If they fail, so be it. I wasn’t a fan of the bank bailouts either. But it seems that you are ok with putting a toe in the socialist waters. We should emblazon the american flag with the Intel logo, you know, like russia did with the hammer and sickle.
Headline fixed:
How Trump Derangement Syndrome threatens Vermonters
Very interesting quote from the article Dictators love big government. They remain in power through the long arm of the law and big government overreach. ” The Democrat Party and the last Democrat Administration was all about big government, overreach and dictatorial power, not to mention trying to emulate that of our neighboring tyrannical States (OK one is a Commonwealth) of New York and Massachusetts. Seems like the author is projecting the attitudes of the current minority party, as far as national elected power goes onto the current administration; forgetting the current POSTUS received a majority of the nationwide popular vote, the ethic of democracy that the Democrats keep professing to support, but in reality only support when they get to make the rules. Also mentions the State must takeover, a State, Commonwealth and Federal Governments are not entities, but people sent to represent the requests of the people sending them there and assemblages of people to support the entirety.
No matter how many times you and your comrades refer to or otherwise describe ILLEGAL ALIENS as “Vermonters” or “citizens” – they are most certainly not either.
Sorry, Saul Alinsky groupie – “Repeat a lie often enough and people will believe it” may work in Vermont to a degree due to the radicalized and paid and indoctrinated students you have assembled for your end game, but the truth remains —- those people are intruders and here illegally. Reality. Rule of Law…… You know, the types of things you “democrat-socialists” no longer abide by.
Another month and another episode of Bossange unhinged. Will it ever end?
Another example of “not in my back yard” (NIMBY) Donald Trump was elected for a lot of reasons, one of which was to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in the Federal government. That some of these cost cutting efforts come in my back yard is totally expected, as I do not remember the clause that stated otherwise. Grow up, and quit proclaiming that cost cutting could, should be painless. There is no way in H E double toothpicks that everybody’s cash cow will be safe, and make the cuts that need to be made. There is just too much waste, fraud, and abuse for the cuts to not be intrusive ! We have allowed the deep state to become too all encompassing for that to be possible !
You all are afraid of an acronym?
Vermont is run and the agenda for Vermont is set by 10 people, still waiting for the article to come out.
NONE of the Democratic party can vote freely or for their constituents, they are told how and when to vote. Our state is completely controlled by non-profits, lobbyists and NGO’s, we are massively controlled by astro turf organizations.
We have little free speech, we are censored much, and the propaganda is neck deep and very effective, proven by your regular postings.
People cannot refute the garage spewed on VTDIGGER because the moderators couldn’t keep up with public comment.
VT Digger, completely and openly censored new political parties on their comment boards from even mentioning their name.
Friends don’t let friends believe propaganda.
“Bossange” is a troll. Dignifying it with a response only magnifies its power.
Do as the MSM and VT media do. Walk away.
They author’s hate Trump rhetoric is loud and clare. I’m glad he gets to spew his lies and hate, and I am glad Vermont Daily Chronicles lets him post here. Lord know the opposition does post my fact based, pro-President Trump commentaries.
That sai said, as a solid Trump supporter, I agree with his Administration’s policies and actions in defund all the government waste programs like in USAID, Medicaid/Medicare, welfare and other bad policy. No other President has exhibited due diligence like Donald J. Trump and his Teams. No one has ever had the strength, confidence, Federal law, the Constitution and the BIG balls to do the right things for the American people. This is a Constitutional Republic, NOT a democracy! Democracies create corruption and we saw that behavior largely with Biden.
Thank you President Trump and VP Vance for your courage, strength, and belief in the American people to do the right things. God bless you both, you Teams and all of yours families. Amen.
John, that is quite a list. Too bad you couldn’t supply any proof that this is really going to happen.
It sounds like Mr. Bossange watches too much of the fake main stream media. I bet he thinks Pres. Trump has declared war on Chicago.
The asterisks are a good touch.
John,
Don’t forget that the President is on the Epstein list and will do anything possible draw attention away from the fact that he said he would release the list. Not that it matters here
There was just a press conference with all the Epstein victims who said that Trump was not on the so-called list.
Chris you are not keeping up. Victims interviewed strongly answered a emphatic NO when asked if President Trump was involved, also was released from the documents in last few days that he was working as an informant for the FBI after he tossed Epstein, reportedly very loudly, out of the club at MaraLago and cancelled the membership after Jeffery attempted to pickup an underaged daughter of another member. Remember, MaraLago is not only a residence but also a Country Club and Restaurant.
Ron, I’m not only keeping up, I’m doing laps around you. You know that Johnson’s lie already fell apart and he had to walk it back right? https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2025/09/08/congress/mike-johnson-donald-trump-epstein-informant-00550679
You remember that Trump himself said that him and Epstein had a falling out because Epstein kept taking his teenage workers right? https://www.politico.com/news/2025/07/29/trump-epstein-stole-spa-00481961
And you know that the Conservative Wall St Journal told us about that creepy birthday card that was released yesterday. https://www.msnbc.com/the-beat-with-ari/watch/epstein-bomb-goes-off-trump-s-alleged-lewd-birthday-card-to-epstein-exposed-247128133944
At this point, its starting to look like a duck and walk like a duck. I can tell you anecdotally that the guy convicted of rape in a civil court used to go on the Howard Stern show and brag about how he would go into the dressing rooms at the Miss Teen USA and how they would duck and scatter. Totally normal behavior, not a sex pest at all. Like I said, it doesn’t matter here because excuses will be made and goalposts will be moved, but it doesn’t make it any less true.
I see the Listen to This Article on the top of the page. I would rather hear chalk screech across a blackboard.
The final paragraph screams for an unpacking and peeling away the layers of deflection and projection.
“Vermonters will honor our flag’s motto by voicing our “Freedom” from oppressive government actions.” What is this notion of “freedom” you speak of? After the Affordable Heat Act of 2023 when Vermonters overwhelming were saying “whoa Nelly” – the Legislature went full steam ahead. Now we have lawsuits filed against us and people can barely afford rising utility bills. Here is what it really means: “You are free to do as we tell you!” “You are free to be taxed and surcharged with impunity, with no remedies or relief…sayeth your overlords.
“and we will show our “Unity” by our resistance to this MAGA nightmare” A rather dramatic, hyperventilating assertion. Yet, rabid dogs do snarl and spit so much they miss the big picture time and time again. What is this notion of “unity” you speak of? The only unity I see is the cultish idolaltry, witchcraft, psyops, propagandist, ritualistic, hive-minded, plausible deniability, cognitive dissonance on both sides of the fence. All to show the divide and conquer strategy works as designed. Those who pretend to be enemies are actually relatives, friends, associates, donors, and co-conspirators. They all consume from the same hog trough filled to the brim with our labor, foreign and technocrat blackmail.
“forced harmful government reductions led by President Trump” A large gasp was heard from the gallery…No, Big Brother has plenty of money to fund wars, fund illegal’s legal funds, transporation, housing, and medical care. The printing press will be retired for phantom digits on a phantom ledger. The inflation is a tax and debt spending has not subsided one iota since 2001. $37+ Trillion USA national debt – Can you afford the $300,000+ debt yoke affixed around your neck and it wasn’t you who signed the debt note to begin with? You and yours are the collateral – wake up!
“created by the Heritage Foundation, supported by a loyal Republican Congress, and permitted by a complicit Supreme Court.” Surely, you jest on this inference. There is no honor among thieves. Whether it be the controlled and compensated opposition, social media influencers, talking heads on all the networks, or the stooges pontificating and pandering from their platforms, podiums or pulpits, it is all performance art. All to keep the populace sedated, confused, bewildered, and overwhelmed.
By all accounts, whenever they say “emerging” it means submerging or it is all ready a done deal. Whenever they say, “things are going great,” it means we are headed into a deep recession, teetering on great depression like no other time ever before. Who is to blame? We are all to blame for believing the unbelievable and capitulating our sovereign liberties to scoundrals, baffoons, and crisis actors. No worries, the war against humanity continues while educated idiots dither, howl and wail like indocritnated, overly medicated fools.
Melissa, Great points. There seems to be a new dictionary created by the Left, Democracy equals whatever THEY say, Freedom equals whatever they grant, Rights are dictated by law as exemplified by Sen Kane (D VA) last week, now lowest level Federal Judges are saying in public that decisions of SCOTUS don’t apply on their decisions and are only suggestions including “who do they think they are thinking their decisions are the Rosetta Stone of Law” about a recent US Supreme Court decision. Seems we are in the 1950’s Superman episode with everything being the obverse.
VDC should enlist the help of readers to act as moderators. No name-calling or personal attacks. Posters must use their real name. Although these types of policies might seem like censorship in the strictest sense, they are necessary in order to encourage decorum and rational dialogue.
Bossange’s editorial is informative of the “left” thinking. [I put left in quotes because I do not believe it is really the left anymore, they have become something else.] I do not think his words are representative of Vermonters’ opinions: they are representative of the talking points of extreme media outlets (like Vermont Public Radio/NPR).
There are too many statements in the article that demonstrate irrationality. It would take multiple thousands of words in order to explain the fallacies behind this editorial. Bossange is able to get away with short phrases because the extreme media outlets have been developing these irrational ideas over the course of a long time.
And when we have elected officials like Sanders and Balint using tax payer money in order to market their radical and irrational ideologies (eg. sending email campaigns and advertising on streaming media), we have a real problem.
I’ve taken my blood pressure medication already and don’t want to nullify its efficacy right now by reading another blatantly TDS piece by John Bossange.
If you still want to get back to reading his moonbat propaganda, most of the free, crappy town newspapers regularly print his rants…they take most anything for free, and are mostly moonbat in their content anyhow. Try to think of it as comedy…or at least have some empathy for his mental issues.
So if Vermonters cherish being able to have their own school boards and run their own schools, do you support Act 73 which puts all the control of education on the state, eliminates local school boards, and consolidates 52 supervisory unions to the proposed 5? Because if you do support this Act’s proposed overhaul of the state education system, you are no different than what you mischaracterize Trump is doing.
