A 60-year-old Duxbury man died Monday morning after his pickup truck crashed into a tree on North Fayston Road in Fayston, Vermont State Police said.
Police identified the victim as Shawn Keating. According to investigators, Keating was driving a 2023 GMC 3500 westbound near Abbey Road at about 11:55 a.m. when the vehicle crossed the center line, veered off the road, and struck a tree on the southbound shoulder.

The headline “Unbelted driver dies while trapped in crash” implies a causal relationship between the two, but there’s nothing in the story to support that. Maybe if he had been belted, he would have been even more trapped.
I’m wondering, did this poor fellow fall asleep at the wheel?
