A Massachusetts man who five years ago was charged with intent to murder and being a career criminal is being sought by state police as a suspect in a May 6 shooting in St. Johnsbury.

Ladjuan Anthony Guichard

State police say Ladjuan Anthony Guichard, 27, of Dorchester, Massachusetts is wanted on a charge of attempted second-degree murder arising from the shooting of 30-year-old Adam Belliveau on Concord Avenue. The arrest warrant is subject to nationwide extradition. Guichard also is wanted in Massachusetts on a probation violation.

Guichard is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 225 pounds, and has dark brown/black hair and a beard. A photo of Guichard is attached to this release. His last known whereabouts were in Dorchester on May 9.

Guichard should be considered dangerous and potentially armed.

In 2019, Guichard, then 21, of Cambridge, MA was charged with armed assault with intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, attempting to commit assault and battery by discharging a large capacity firearm, possession of a high capacity firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm, possession of ammunition, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, and being an armed career criminal.

The incident from which those charges occurred took place in 2019. In 2018, he was charged with what police called a ‘moving gun battle’ that left another man injured.

State police say people with information on Guichard’s whereabouts should not approach him and instead call 911, their local police department or the Vermont State Police barracks in St. Johnsbury at 802-748-3111. 1. Another tourist from Massachusetts, not in jail, doing business in Vermont. JUST ANOTHER DAY IN THE VERMONT ZOO.

  2. Very good reason to pack heat. In earlier years, common sense prevailed and people had accessibility and none of the gun crap today. Criminals respected that atmosphere. Observe what gun control by liberals have done to the safety of the public. Also if you protected yourself today, very stupid AG’s and Prosecutors want to lock you up and you have lawyer ambulance chases want to sue. This MA jerk would not exist if survivalist attitudes exist. This MA criminal floats between MA & VT because he can breath the air, he wouldn’t in TX or FL. For some reason Liberals don’t fear him. Bring back law and order.
