What I witnessed yesterday in Warren during Vice President J.D. Vance and his family’s visit to Vermont is totally sick and disgusting and should be highly concerning to every Vermonter and American.
These protesters are uninformed agitators and liars! I attribute this behavior to the fringe organizations that many of these people subscribe to and follow. They listen to these groups more intently than to the Bible. We witnessed people coming from other states, arriving in vehicles with out-of-state license plates. Some even brought very young children with them, singing their prepared chant songs.
Additionally, why didn’t Senator Sanders, Welch, and Representative Balint issue statements to stop the pre-visit chatter of hate on social media by their fringe groups? Christine D. Hallquist, the former gubernatorial candidate, played a leading part in escalating tensions, directing uninformed protesters to Pitcher Inn in Warren and then to the second location of the Vance family’s stay.
I organized a “positive support” rally for VP Vance and his family in Warren with Maureen H. and Sherilyn. On Saturday morning, we arrived on Main Street in Warren to a sea of anti-group protesters chanting pro-Palestinian rants with Palestinian flags, spreading hate rhetoric and lies. There were roughly 45-50 of them, including 5-6 young children and a single drum with someone banging on it, reading prepared papers and chanting lies and hate. There was bantering between the two groups.
It was disgusting watching these people spewing hate, lies, misinformation, and jealousy. I thought these people were supposed to be a welcoming group. There was nothing welcoming about these people. These individuals are uninformed and spew hate, and they had young children stand with them, scared and being indoctrinated. I believe that is child abuse, friends.
I do not believe these people understand the difference between democracy and a Constitutional Republic. It is pretty simple in our U.S. Constitution. They yell out that Vance is a fascist. In a democracy, the majority rules, and if they decide to take away your rights, they can do so. In a Constitutional Republic, the individual is protected from majority unconstitutional laws. We live in a Constitutional Republic, but public schools no longer teach civics or the law of the land.
They chanted that Trump and Vance are taking away LGBTQ rights, but then they support Palestine. Do these people not understand that Palestinians hate gay and lesbian people? They will torch and kill them. They chanted support for Hamas, the Palestinian terror group.
They sang songs for open borders, but America is a great country that welcomes everyone who applies to come here legally. People from across the world want to come to America. We welcome you as long as you come through legal channels and follow our laws. “We The People” are a very welcoming people—come legally!
Then it was about the Constitution. We are not a democracy; we are a Constitutional Republic. They were claiming that Trump and Vance are shredding it—how? I think they heard that from Bernie. When I asked a couple of them, they couldn’t explain it. These are the same people who do not support our secure borders, our legal immigration process, and who want to dismantle law enforcement and prevent Immigration Enforcement officers from doing their jobs. They hate ICE and want open borders.
President Trump and VP Vance are protecting our sovereignty and taxpayer money that the Democrats, Socialists, and Biden were spending like drunken sailors. They are ending the teaching of hate through Critical Race Theory (CRT), Equity, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), stopping sex changes for children worldwide through USAID, and preventing money from going to terrorist groups that hate America. Cutting spending and expecting government employees to actually work is not unreasonable, and stopping social security checks for 80 million deceased Americans is not wrong.
Remember what these types of people did in the summer of 2020. Can you say Antifa and Black Lives Matter? This is Antifa through and through. They are well-organized and funded, paying people to participate in these types of protests. They hate everything about America.
Trump and Vance are frugal, hard-working, well-organized, caring people who respect our laws and all people, as long as they are law-abiding and doing the right things. I believe in second and third chances, as long as people are reformed.
The Vances’ visit here should have been celebrated as good and positive for our Vermont economy, especially for our great ski industry. But again, the far Left, with their bused-in protesters, ruins it with lies, misinformation, and hate! They subscribe to archaic and nasty behaviors, lying, hate, and jealousy.
It’s time for the Left to stop the nasty behavior and work together with all Vermonters. Stop taking your orders from the Bernies of our great little state.

there is a time and place for most things. A family enjoying their vacations isnt one of them, I wonder how many protestors are actually Vermont residents?
You have to remember that these are the same people that have been told by Maxine Waters (Dem. Cal.) to get in the face of elected officials, as they did in a restaurant to Sara Huckabee Sanders, or while walking to their car (Rand Paul) or, as in the case of a Supreme Court Justice (Brett Kavanaugh) to protest on the sidewalk, or street in front of his home, or the attempt to assassinate a standing Representative, (Steve Scalese) shot and, severely injured, and (twice, it would seem) the attemped assassination of the POTUS . None of these things were supported, much less sanctioned by an opposition party, until the left decided that Donald Trump, and all those who were considered to be supporters of his, were fair game for anything . Donald Trump has been living in their collective heads rent free for ten years now, and anything is, in their minds, fair game . They need psychiatric help, before the electoral beat down the likes of which has never been seen before, and with the retarded rhetorical B.S. that they have been spouting of late, they are hopefully digging their own graves in preparation of this long awaited day !

Bernie, Balint, Welch and the other Far-Leftists have backed themselves into a corner with their lawless, woke, extreme beliefs. They have no where to go. Voters have rejected them yet, they continue with the same depraved ideas and behaviors. This is clearly insanity!
Inept and mindless fools acting line ten-year olds, showing the state and the world just how bitter and feckless these people are, and I thought Hillary was the only bitter old hag, boy was I wrong.
As far as Vermont’s three stooges that we have in DC, they never let us down with there pettyness…….. our so called leaders, now that’s funny !!
Rep. Balint is too busy buying ad spots on Youtube – I wonder if she and Efficiency Vermont got a deal for so many thousands of runs per hour on mulitiple videos?

Honestly, the more these idiots bleat and hyperventilate, the more they look like the buffoons they are, and eventually, they cause their own demise. They can skyscream even louder about the “threat to bureacracy, I mean democracy”, but 4 years from now, when normalcy, safety, and prosperity are the order of the day, the Left will be apoplectic that no one even listens to them anymore.
A free country means they are allowed to prove they are idiots. I suggest we let them dig their own grave.
I remember when the liberal left was all about ending wars. Now, when our President engages in forcing an end to the dying by forging a deal that benefits America, he is brutally criticized for not adding more fuel to the fire. The left has become so fixated upon defeating Russia and flexing our muscles at Putin that they refuse to consider a negotiated settlement. Yes, Russia will gain control over certain parts of the country they now occupy. Ukraine’s west has been bombing those eastern parts of it’s own country and killing its own citizens since 2014. Thanks to a man who understands the Art of the Deal for ending this pointless bloodshed.
I remember when the same people in the 1970s and 1980s had Save The Whales bumper stickers on their cars. Now the same people are killing the whales with their condoning the construction of offshore windmills.
Being a conservative, I agree with most of what Gregory has written. Further, I commend him for organizing a “Pro MAGA” group. I saw where they got decent coverage on I think it was WPTZ5, although it was only 25% of what the paid agitators got. So good on all that.
Also being a conservative, I support everyone’s right to free speech, and “everyone” includes protestors. However, there’s a line that needs to be drawn, not just here in Vermont but in all 50 states in the union.
What? A line? Yes. While I believe in the right to protest, that shouldn’t extend to people who are a) paid, b) bused in, or c) are “professional agitators”. This extends to inserting these clowns into “Local Town Hall-type meetings, as the radical leftists have begun doing around the country. Don’t you see it? They show up, the “media” “covers” them, and the next thing you know, so-and-so or such-and-such is “A threat to our democracy!”. When in reality, all there was were a handful of paid moonbats doing what they were paid t do.
So yes, we need to draw that line. It sure isn’t going to happen here for obvious reasons, but maybe we’ll get there eventually. One step at a time.
I was also totally disgusted with the Commiecrats tactics. Especially the antics at Trump’s address to Congress the other night. So, I e-mailed our illustrious Senators and Congresswoman to express my displeasure. I recommend people to do the same.
What do you stand for? On Tuesday the 4th of March 2025 I watched President Trump’s speech to the joint session of Congress, and I was appalled by the abhorrent behavior of the Democrat party’s not standing for things that by all means should be celebrated by every American citizen living in the United States. I would have expected the Democrat party to stand and applaud the naming of a wildlife refuge for Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old American girl, was sexually assaulted and killed by illegal aliens in Texas. I would have expected the Democrat party to stand and applaud the Laken Riley Act a woman murdered by an illegal alien in Georgia. I would have expected the Democrat party to stand and applaud the capture and extradition of the terrorist that planned the Abby Gate bombing that killed thirteen U.S. servicemen. I would have expected the Democrat party to stand and applaud D.J. Daniel a thirteen-year-old brain cancer survivor who was honored by over 400 law enforcement agencies when he was made an honorary Secret Service Agent.
I understand you might not want to stand and applaud policies that Trump is imposing but to not stand and applaud for any of the above only goes to show how out of touch you are with the 76,838,984 Americans who voted for him.
My question to you is what exactly do you stand for?

I’m glad that they self identified themselves as haters. I seem to recall a song Barry McGuire did around 1965; one of the lines was “hate your next door neighbor, but don’t forget to say grace”. I trust he meant the dinner table. When will we ever learn.
When I see these losers protesting now, I just say – “Nobody cares what you think so go ahead and make fools out of yourselves. You are irrelevent.”.
I did, however, get peeved when they protested when Vice President Vance was graciously visiting with his beautiful wife and three small children. They made Vermonters look stupid with their smug, condecending, arrogant mis-informed MSNBC narratives (lies). They could have show just a little class and let this young family enjoy their Vermont vacation – but no, the out-of-staters had to make Vermonters look like fools.
