Domestic assault in Enosburg

On December 17, at around 11:29 PM, Vermont State Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Perley Road in Enosburg. After investigating, they found that 26-year-old Mark Clapper had assaulted a household member. Clapper was arrested and taken to the police barracks for processing. Additionally, he had two outstanding warrants for retail theft and trespassing. Clapper was held at the Northwest State Correctional Facility on $5,000 bail and ordered to appear in Franklin County Superior Court on December 19.


John Deere theft from United Ag and Turf, Highgate

On December 18, a theft occurred at United Ag and Turf in Highgate, Vermont. A John Deere Gator 835M was stolen in the early morning hours. The Vermont State Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the person or people responsible. Charge from Mandarin Garden burglary in Enosburg

A burglary occurred at Mandarin Garden, a business located at 162 Main St. in Enosburgh, on December 25. Initially, the suspect was unknown, but after an investigation, 29-year-old Brett Langdell was identified by police as the perpetrator. He was cited to appear in court on February 3, 2025, to face charges of burglary and unlawful mischief. The incident was part of a series of thefts and break-ins in the area, which are believed to be connected.
