Windsor County Sheriff’s deputies executed a drug search warrant at a Route 5 residence this week, resulting in seven Windsor residents being cited on a range of drug- and firearm-related offenses.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies — assisted by the Windsor and Springfield Police Departments — carried out the warrant at about 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 5 at 460 Route 5 South in Windsor. The search followed an investigation into suspected narcotics trafficking.
Inside the home, officers reported finding evidence associated with the sale, manufacture, and possession of fentanyl, crack cocaine, and methamphetamine. A firearm and ammunition were also seized. Deputies said they located significant quantities of cutting agents, mainly baking soda and mannitol, along with digital scales and numerous plastic bags.
Because a large amount of loose powder was initially suspected to be fentanyl, the Vermont State Hazardous Materials Response Team was called in as a precaution due to the potential risk airborne fentanyl poses to first responders.

The following individuals, all from Windsor, were cited to appear in court on January 13, 2026:
James R. Morse, 60
Aria Garamella, 50
Sarah K. Barbour, 38
Kevin Esty, 41
John K. Murray, 51
Timothy Murray, 49
Jonah R. Meadows, 50
The charges include: Prohibited Person (firearm), Conspiracy to Traffic Fentanyl, Conspiracy to Sell Cocaine, Conspiracy to Sell Methamphetamine, Manufacture or Cultivation of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Fentanyl, and Possession of Methamphetamine.
The investigation remains ongoing. The Sheriff’s Office said it will continue collaborating with local and state partners to address the distribution of illegal drugs and unlawful firearm possession in Windsor County. Officials thanked the Windsor Police and Fire Departments, the Springfield Police Department, and the Vermont State HAZMAT Response Team for their assistance.

Wow! Looks like a crew stepped off the set from the movie, “The Goonies,” if anyone remembers that.
Why did you have to publish the pictures of the Burlington City Council? Don’t they get enough press? Are they up for election and selling equal time.
Perps whose photos adorned post office walls back in the day were so much classier than today’s crop of misfits. Ah, for the good ol’ days.
