Twenty-two Democratic senators rebuked President Donald Trump in identical speeches Tuesday hours ahead of his address to a joint session of Congress.

The speech, part of the so-called “Shit That Ain’t True” campaign, primarily attacked the president on economic policy, citing the rising cost of eggs — though they also emphasized Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency’s cuts to “vital government programs.” The videos posted to X began with a clip of Trump promising to “bring prices down starting on day one” before the senators recited the statement verbatim from chairs or couches in their congressional offices.

“S–t that ain’t true, that’s what you just heard.” Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren and 21 others said. “Since day one of Donald Trump’s presidency, prices are up, not down. Inflation is getting worse, not better … He’s pardoned violent criminals who beat police officers on January 6. He’s letting Elon Musk take a chainsaw, literally, to government programs that people need.”

Democrats are stepping up their offensive against Trump ahead of his first address to lawmakers in his second term, a “joint session of Congress” speech that is not technically a State of the Union address.

Sen. Peter Welch

The party, a minority in both chambers of congress, is struggling to counter Trump’s shock-and-awe approach to policy implementation and seemingly trying to develop a new messaging strategy. The Democrats face a record-low 36% favorability rating, according to a Feb. 24 Harvard CAPS/Harris poll as the economy-focused speech appears to be an attempt to shift party messaging from divisive social issues to more universally resonant voter concerns.

“Trump, Musk and Republicans are taking services away from you in order to make room for tax cuts for billionaires like them,” Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly and the 21 other senators said. “The Republican plan is simple: families lose and billionaires win. And that’s the truth.”

Musk called the participating senators “puppets” in a post on X in response to a video of Warren and New York Sen. Chuck Schumer reciting the identical statement.

Other Democratic lawmakers who recited the prewritten statement include Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal, Delaware Sen. Chris Coons, Hawaii Sen. Brian Schatz, Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono, Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, Illinois Sen. Tammy Duckworth, Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen, Maryland Sen. Angela Alsobrooks, Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey, Michigan Sen. Gary Peters, New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, New Jersey Sen. Andy Kim, New Mexico Sen. Martin Heinrich, New Mexico Sen. Ben Ray Luján, Oregon Sen. Jeff Merkley, Rhode Island Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, Vermont Sen. Peter Welch, Virginia Sen. Mark Warner and Wisconsin Sen. Tammy Baldwin.

  1. Mockingbird media and mockingbird politicians = face plant. The optics shown in the belly of the Beast, aka the well of the “People’s house” was quite telling and should be concerning to all Americans. A case in point: a 13 year old black adolescent, D.J. Daniel, who survives brain cancer against stacked odds, is awarded an honorary Secret Service badge. What did the “unity” party do? Remained seated, emotionless, no applause, no smiles – stonecold, heartless statues of salt.

When represenatives and senators show no support, no acknowlegement, and no empathy toward any of those Amercians seated in the People’s house, they reveal their true identity and sentiments toward all of us for all the world to see. D.J. Daniel deserved the accolades for being brave and couragous surviving his illness. A 13 year old black boy exposed them all for their wickedness and soullessness. When I recall the thunderous applause and flag waving for Zelinsky and the Ukraine a few years ago – it does prove who they represent and support. It certainly is not the American People.

  2. Yes, I like it when DemocRATs act like they are ” ten year olds”, and these are the ones suppose to be leading our Government, with no amazement to me, I see Vermont’s Jr. Senator Peter ” the follower “Welch is again following the other feckless Dems with there childness game plan, he’s a mindless fool, how pathetic !!

So I did watch most of Preident Trumps Address, knowing his plans for the Nation, but I really wanted to see how the DemocRATs were going to act, and I wasn’t disappointed with there display, and Rep. Al Greene really showed the world just how bitter Dems are, and I thought Hillary had that title……………… fools in charge, in charge of killing there party….. Thank God.

Even when I thought they would come around on specific items, like parents that lost the love ones from Illegal gang members, or a child with a brain tumor being given one of his last wishes, Nah, bitter inept fools, there true colors really shined
    through last night.

Also, cameras panning the crowd, we see Vermont’s Senior Senator Sanders looking like he had no idear where he was, and Vermont’s DEI hired Rep. Balint, just stayed home, that was the good news, that way the world didn’t see Vermont’s other stooge
on full display……………………………… Vermont we deserve better.

  3. DemocRATS put on a disgusting display last night during the President’s speech. They showed the American people just what petty, adolescent, (and I apologize to those under the age of 18) fools they really are.

  4. The cookie-cutter phenomenon is not surprising; the vulgarity and condescension have established a new low. Do they really think that Trump supporters speak that way? On the other hand, it’s nice to see them describing their own party, in one word, out of their own mouths…shhhhark sandwich. I’m afraid the Kennedys (among others) were nothing but fancy toothpicks stuck through that sandwich.

Based on recent DOGE findings, many of the people mentioned above were probably siphoning taxpayer money to overseas accounts, pending chaos and collapse in America. Now that the lid of the cookie jar has been slammed down, they are panicking. On the other hand: My cousin Dave was U.S. Senator from Massachusetts for 26 years, and we didn’t get rich, YOU did…you, meaning the American people. Thousands of Americans probably would never even have been born if he had not established a minimum wage: the Walsh–Healy act, created for government contractors in 1936 and later expanded to all American workers.

If you appreciate not being paid $1 a day and the fact that there has been an America First movement for 85 years (founded by Dave Walsh, Charles A. Lindbergh, Walt Disney and other patriotic Americans), I hope you will consider buying a copy of this commemorative poetry book: https://www.lulu.com/shop/ellin-anderson/the-third-hill/paperback/product-q9evrr.html?q=The+Third+Hill&page=1&pageSize=4

  5. Have been watching the cookie cutter propaganda on Main stream Media for years .That is before I stopped watching it .
I’m no genius and I could see it very clearly.

  6. The democrats lifted their anti-American
little signs as paid for during the Presidents speech .Another cookie cutter
sign making party happened on the taxpayers dime.

  7. They are so pathetic. All they do is lie and call others liars. Pathetic and small. Warren is such a phony – how in the world does she get so many idiots to vote for her. It blows my mind.

  8. Trump has been in office a little over a month and their heads are exploding. I hope the keep up this stuff, really, I do, right up to the mid-terms so we can pick up some more seats in the House and Senate.
