A 19-year-old Richford man is facing a charge following an investigation by the Vermont State Police into an alleged sexual relationship with a minor.
Police say Matthew Stryker, 19, of Richford, was investigated beginning March 4, by state police working with the Northwest Unit for Special Investigations and the Vermont Department for Children and Families.
According to investigators, authorities received a report that Stryker had been involved in a sexual relationship with a juvenile. Detectives determined that the relationship allegedly began in the summer of 2025 with a 14-year-old.
Stryker turned himself in to state police on March 13. After consultation with the Franklin County State’s Attorney’s Office, he was issued a flash citation and released.
He is scheduled to appear in the Criminal Division of Franklin County Superior Court at 1 p.m. on March 16.

So this will probably upset some people, but like I care. This young man is not the only one at fault. This young girl also has a 50 percent blame, and most likely, the school system, and her parents as well. Franklin County has a cruel game of points for who and how many you sleep with. Bonus points for a pregnancy too, woo-hoo. The girls now have very little self respect, and unfortunately look for it in other places. This is not justification, I am just pointing out the obvious. Hopefully she doesn’t end up pregnant, so my tax dollars go to killing her baby, yup, I said it. Praying for both families, we all need to do better folks. Have some morals, boundaries, and self respect. I hope they both learn a lesson, and hope the parents of both do too. Whole situation is awful.
They are taught in our Vermont schools to experiment with their sexuality from grade school for Gods sake, and we bring them to drag queen story hour before they can even read a book, promoting twerking and over sexual overtones……and they are making this kid to be the monster?????
On top of that all the porn is interfamilial since Covid, so what are kids to think?
Are they even taught the concept that sex is for marriage??? That you don’t do habitat, be intimate prior to marriage? My guess is probably not.
They are taught lust is love and that is oft no closer than north is to south.
Our children are not safe in Vermont, they have a terrible education and even worse spiritual knowledge.
Sadly there are many Vermont communities with the same philosophy. You g girls looking for love in all the wrong places, thinking a baby will make them complete, and since they are generationally dependent and only know dependency of the state, they in their own minds are living life as intended.
Our children are completely lost and without rudder or North Star to direct them, our churches have failed them in epic proportions.
Progressive ideology has eliminated most sexual taboos, so why do we still pretend to be shocked and surprised when the underage taboo is being broken? We have a 14-year old victim of sexual interaction here, but do progressives have a problem with altering the anatomical features of a 14-year old using hormonal and/or surgical intervention? If this 19-year old perpetrator had robbed a store at gunpoint or run over someone in a DUI driving incident, those same progressives would be arguing for leniency because “his brain is still developing”.
