19-year-old busted in connection with Colchester shooting

Fifth suspect in St. J drug-related shooting arrested in New Orleans

The Colchester Police Department, alongside the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Chittenden County Gun Violence Task Force, arrested a local man on June 3, in relation to a shooting incident that occurred on Sharrow Circle last month.

Sami Ettouzar, 19, of Essex Junction, faces several charges including second-degree attempted murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, carrying a firearm while committing a felony, possession of stolen property, and driving with a suspended license, according to the Colchester Police Department.

Authorities executed a search warrant at a residence on Central Street in Essex Junction, leading to Ettouzar’s arrest. The charges stem from an investigation into the shooting that took place on May 26.

Ettouzar is currently being held without bail at the Northwest State Correctional Facility.

The suspect is apparently a Vermont resident. A family with the last name of Ettouzar resides in Essex Junction, according to social media.

The Colchester Police Department has stated that the investigation is ongoing and is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist in the case. – Newport Dispatch

St. J homicide bust – The fifth and final suspect facing charges in connection with a homicide in December 2022 in St. Johnsbury has been arrested.

Danny Daniels, 32, of Philadelphia, was arrested Monday afternoon in New Orleans by members of the Louisiana State Police and other law-enforcement agencies on a host of Louisiana state charges. Daniels, along with a second man, was taken into custody following a vehicle pursuit and foot chase involving the Louisiana State Police, the FBI’s New Orleans Field Office, the New Orleans Police Department, and the Port of New Orleans Harbor Police.

Daniels is the subject of a Vermont state arrest warrant charging him with aiding in the commission of first-degree murder, aiding in the commission of assault and robbery with a weapon, and aiding in the commission of burglary. The charges stem from the fatal shooting of Israel Jimenez Lugo, 49, sometime overnight Dec. 13-14, 2022, at the St. Johnsbury apartment house where he lived.

In addition, Daniels faces federal drug-related charges in the District of Vermont. Details regarding his return to Vermont and the timing of when he will face the state charges related to the homicide remain pending.

Oily paper towels combust, wreck home – 10 AM June 4, the Waitsfield Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at a Mehuron Drive home. When fire crews arrived, they discovered heavy smoke and fire in the basement, state police say.

State police fire investigators say the origin of the fire was determined to be in the basement and the cause was improperly disposed of paper towels soaked in linseed oil.

There were no injuries associated with this fire, its suppression, or the investigation. There was significant water, fire and smoke damage to the basement of the residence and its contents with damage estimates in excess of $100,000.

  1. Just more trash running around Vermont, not knowing or caring about any laws we have, and Vermont’s rabid anti-gunners won’t blame this “POS “, for all the listed charges, they’ll blame only the gun !!
