According to an X post by Orange County High Bailiff Christopher Helali, he’s in Iran to “honor, salute, and pray for” slain Iranian leader slain at the outset of the 2026 Iran – US war.
Furthermore, the post shows him standing in front of a banner that says Kill Trump.
According to an August, 2020 VDC story, Helali, of Vershire, is the son of an Iranian father and a Greek communist mother. He ran for Congress in 2020 as the candidate of the Communist Party USA.
He also is a friend and supporter of Mohsen Mahdawi, the anti-Israel protester living in Vermont and facing deportation, according to a VDC story posted last year. He was elected high bailiff in 2024.
Helali also conducted interviews with a Hamas leader following the attack of Israel in October, 2023.
