Mark Coester, the Republican candidate for Congress in Vermont’s At-Large District, hopes backers of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will check out his campaign now that Kennedy has endorsed Donald Trump for president.
“RFK Jr. rightly acknowledged what we know to be true: that the Democratic Party establishment has made the DNC the party of deception, censorship, corruption, big pharma, big tech, big ag, and big money,” said Coester, a Westminster resident and self-employed logger running against one-term incumbent Becca Balint (D-VT).
Balint has not commented on the RFK Jr. endorsement on her social media.
Coester continued: “RFK Jr., a former Democrat turned Independent, declared that he couldn’t allow himself to be the spoiler in the race and throw the election to Kamala Harris. He said he was looking for a candidate that is ‘willing to negotiate a quick end to the Ukraine war, to tackle the chronic disease epidemic, to protect free speech and our constitutional freedoms, to clean corporate influence out of our government, or to defy the neocons and their agenda of endless military adventurism.’”
“I invite all Vermont Independents to look at my campaign, because many of these priorities that RFK Jr. articulated are also reasons why Vermonters should support me over my establishment Democrat opponent here in Vermont.”
