On December 30 at 11:30 AM, Burlington police saw Aaron Montgomery, 35, of Springfield, who had an active arrest warrant, near North Union St. and North Winooski Ave. in Burlington.
When officers approached Montgomery to arrest him, he sprinted away. Police pursued him. A physical altercation ensued. Montgomery attempted to stab the officers with a needle.
