“The world’s obsession with the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict has allowed an untold amount of destruction and vast injustices in other countries in the Mid-East. As all eyes look to Gaza, Turkey, Qatar, and Iran have carved out swaths of Iraq and Syria, treating the populations there as geopolitical pawns. ” -Newsweek, Aug 29, 2024

In a December 12 press release, Bernie Sanders urged President Biden to withhold $10.1 billion in military aid to Israel, arguing that the Netanyahu government’s military offensive in Gaza was “being conducted in a deeply immoral way.” Vermont Sen. Becca Balint, D-VT, had already delivered a more benign statement in October: “I’m deeply saddened by the over- whelming, brutal loss of Israeli and Palestinian lives….”
The neophyte Solon expressed idle objectivity in her anemic statement, as socialist millionaire Sanders continuously promotes American division with less-than-veiled attempts to circumvent the Constitution, a flippant and frequent practice of the hapless Biden Administration.
After the 20th Century, Western journalism stopped obscuring its polarizing left-wing bias by bashing a multitude of socio-politico issues deemed unacceptable to their globalist agenda. This includes organized religion (except Islam), national flags, secured borders, Pro-Life legislation, capitalism, conservatism, Zionism, Israel, Judeo-Christianity (the basis of Western Civilization), gun rights, heterosexuality, and daring to question or oppose the pop-fad “pseudoscience” of transgenderism.
With CNN, CBS, and MSNBC leading a woke American revolution through the dishonest editorialization of hard news, the television media has been hijacked by “activist journalism.” In print, The New York Times, Washington Post, and Boston Globe are unabashedly liberal. In contrast, populist conservative Fox News, the Daily Wire, and their ilk have become the curious right-wing counter-culture alternative to the globalist-driven liberal media establishment.
Closer to I89, The Burlington Free Press and the Rutland/Barre Times Argus were once reputed for balanced reporting, but since 2000, these periodicals hired “woke” editors and have degenerated into yellow alt-left editorialization, not unlike Seven Days. These less-than-humble hives of bumbling, biased news reporting have also blacklisted “questionable” long-time contributing reporters.
Many of today’s Western news consumers are missing volumes of valid intelligence as the world’s attention is constantly turned to the Israeli- Hamas conflict. These primary news sources have failed to report the injustices and devastation in other Mideast nations. The West’s obsession with Israel devalues accurate and objective reporting as Turkey, Qatar, Iran, Iraq, and Gaza treat populations as geopolitical pawns.
Iran is the Grand Mufti of such offenders as it sics its unchained beast of terror, Hezbollah (Arabic for “The Party of God”) and Hamas, an acronym for Harakat-al-Muqawamah al-Islamiyyah, or “Islamic Resistance Movement,” on the despised infidel world. Hezbollah manipulated sect- arian hostility in Lebanon by creating a combat corridor through Shia and Christian population centers in targeting Israel’s northern border.
Iran’s theocrats have settled Shia families from Lebanon and Syria into stra- tegic Sunni border areas as Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad and his minority Alawite Muslim party continue to rule oppressively over their Sunni majority.
During the Syrian Civil War, 2011 to the present, Al-Assad was implicated in the culling of thousands of Syrian civilians in three separate genocidal gas attacks. The first was called the “Ghouta Attack.” Ghouta was a Damascus suburb controlled by rival insurgents. 700 to 1270 civilians were murdered by sarin gas propelled by surface-to- surface rockets. Human Rights Watch, a New York-based NGO, announced documented evidence proving that Iraqi authorities have deported thousands of Syrians with legal residency or registration with the UN refugee agency. Terrorizing the majority of Lebanon’s territory, Hezbollah has also decimated the capital, Beirut, which from the fifties-seventies was known as “The Paris of the Middle East.” These “God Warriors” are not resistance fighters or virtuous patriots heroically battling Israel to restore Palestine to “Dar al-Islam,” The House of Islam, as the sympathetic woke media and Quixotic college students majoring in Pro-Hamas Propaganda 101-501 insist upon believing.
Turkey has been overturning the demographics of Kurdish lands in northeast Syria since their army and its Islamist allies captured the Afrin district from the Kurds in 2018. Kurdish residents, numbering 300,000, were driven out, and their properties handed over to Arabs. The Kurds, distinct from Persians, Turks, and Arabs, are despised by Islamic terrorists.

George Soros, Antifa, CNN, BLM, and The NY Times promoting Israel as the usurping/colonialist Zionist regime is laughable and pathetic, as Turkey, Iran, Syria, and Iraq are genuinely guilty of settler colonialism.
Since our media has fractured into two distinct schools of partisan thought, America has become increasingly demoralized, not unlike the characters in the disturbingly prophetic 2024 political film Civil War.
According to a March 27th AJC News report, Israel and its allies have had to side-step Hamas terrorists to deliver nearly 375,000 tons of humanitarian aid. There are no international laws of war that bind the Jewish state in aiding Palestinians, many of whom celebrated in the streets the Hamas massacre. Still, international officials from the European Union, UN, and other internation- al aid agencies “have raised concerns over the increasingly dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.” Since 2007, Palestinian civilians in Gaza have received aid from Israel and its allies after the Jewish state signed Gaza over to Mahmoud Abbas’ Palestinian Authority, the PLO, but in an internecine power grab, Hamas seized control and stripped Gaza of its independence.
