St. Johnsbury Police and Vermont State Police are investigating a drive-by shooting of an area man, who was left wounded by 217 Concord Avenue Tuesday afternoon, May 6.

A man was found with a gunshot to the abdomen and appeared to be conscious and alert, Detective Lt. Greg Eaton said.

The incident took place two weeks ago at Off Piste Farm, where a neighbor’s game camera recorded two individuals approaching the property. Vermont State Police recovered the stolen 15 pounds of marijuana in Northfield last week.

The house was well-known to city officers, police said.

The Washington County State’s Attorney’s Office has since filed 10 charges against Robinson, including involuntary manslaughter, burglary into an occupied dwelling, firearm possession by a prohibited person (two counts), simple assault, and reckless endangerment (five counts).

As an apparent ‘hoax’ crime incident, this case may be an exception to the norm in that most crime hoaxes are often politically motivated. 

On Thursday at about 3:00 PM, the Department’s Emergency Response Unit executed a search warrant at 64 Hyde St., concluding an investigation that included “several controlled purchases of narcotics.”

At about 3:25 in the afternoon, State Police were contacted by the property management of the Prospect Mountain Ski Area in Woodford. Police say that the resort crew “reported finding a suspected hand grenade in a container while conducting cleanup near the parking lot.”

An investigation into a recent suspected homicide case in Orange County has led to federal gun charges against a three-time convicted felon from Bradford, officials said.

The case highlights ongoing efforts by the U.S. Border Patrol to combat illegal immigration and human smuggling across the nation’s borders. The term “alien” refers to individuals who are not U.S. citizens or nationals, according to U.S. immigration laws.

Burlington Police responded to a staggering 180 incidents, including arrests, crashes, trespassing, and one fatality.

The Seattle Times reported both graduated from the Lakeside School: Snyder in 2020 and Youngblut in 2022. Snyder went on to Oxford where he studied computer science and philosophy.

The police report indicated her parents believed Youngblut was being forced to cut off contact with her family and friends due to the personal relationship she had entered, the Seattle Times reports.

Youngblut is charged with intentional use of a deadly weapon while forcibly assaulting a federal law enforcement and with discharging a firearm during an assault with deadly weapon, records show.

Maland is believed to be the first federal law enforcement officer to be killed in the line of duty in Vermont since a few deaths in the Prohibition era.
