National comedian Reno Collier to perform live at VT Christian Film Festival

Faith and Family Films Inc will present Reno Collier Live! on Friday, October 23, at 7 PM at The Baptist Fellowship of Randolph, 1051 Vermont Route 66, Randolph. The performance opens the eighth annual Green Mountain Christian Film Festival, which continues Saturday, October 24.

Doors open at 6:15 PM. The program is expected to conclude at approximately 8:30 p.m. The event is open to all ages, and free parking is available on site. Tickets are $29.99 in advance at eventbrite.com under “Reno Collier Live!” and $40 at the door. Donations in support of the Festival will be gratefully accepted.

Collier is a West Virginia native and former physical-education teacher whose stand-up career began at an open-microphone night at the Punchline Comedy Club in Atlanta. He later opened for Larry the Cable Guy on the Tour of America, taped a Comedy Central Presents special, and toured arenas with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Ron White, and Larry the Cable Guy. His television credits include NBC’s Late Friday, The Martin Short Show, TBS’s Blue Collar Comedy: The Next Generation, the Comedy Central Roast of Larry the Cable Guy, and hosting NBC’s The Great American Road Trip and Animal Planet’s Top Hooker. He has also headlined Comics on Duty performances for American troops overseas.

In recent years Collier has spoken publicly about recovery from alcoholism and about the faith that reshaped his life. He hosts Alive & Sober with Reno C, a conversation series produced with Back to the Bible that addresses sobriety, second chances, and hope in Christ. Festival organizers describe the Randolph date as family-friendly comedy rooted in that same candor and goodwill.

“We are honored to welcome Reno Collier to Randolph as we open our eighth Festival,” said Joe Roche, Festival director for Faith and Family Films Inc. “His humor is warm and recognizable, and his story of grace will speak to families, churches, and neighbors across the White River Valley. All are welcome.”
