Hartford CT fugitive from justice busted in prison

Numerous arrests for theft, domestic assault, DUI over weekend

A Connecticut man with a drug arrest and conviction history from 2018 and 2015 will be arraigned today on a fugitive from justice charge.

On March 20, state police learned that Jonathan Ayala, 34, of Hartford Connecticut had an extraditable arrest warrant out of the state of Connecticut for a parole violation. Ayala was currently lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility and due to be released. He was cited in court for March 23, bail was set at $25.000 and lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility.

Vermont State Police reported a series of other arrests and investigations across the state over the past several days, led by theft cases in Lamoille and Caledonia counties, along with multiple assault and DUI incidents.

Police note that all charges are allegations and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
