The Bradford Fair kicks off on Friday. You can also get a taste of the season at Warren Old Home Days, which starts on Friday as well. To whet your appetite, here is a slideshow featuring fair foods from each of the 50 states. Fried dough from the Vermont State Fair in Rutland make the cut. The rest run the gamut — from pedestrian to spectacular culinary catastrophes.
