Coordinated, brazen retail theft hits Kohl’s

By Guy Page

Police are asking for help identifying three individuals involved in a brazen retail theft at Kohl’s in the Berlin Mall on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Berlin Police Department, the incident occurred at about 3 PM on April 12, when three individuals entered the store, filled shopping carts with merchandise, and then exited without attempting to pay.

Police say the suspects left the store with full carts of items in what appears to have been a coordinated effort.

The department noted that the theft is part of a broader uptick in shoplifting incidents in the area, raising concerns among local businesses and law enforcement. Officials say retail theft not only impacts store operations but can also lead to increased prices for consumers and place additional strain on community resources.

Authorities have released photographs of the individuals involved and are urging anyone who may recognize them to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Berlin Police Department at (802) 223-4401.
