Clean comedian comes to Randolph October 23

Comedian Reno Collier, known for appearances with some of the biggest names in the Blue Collar Comedy lineup, will perform in Randolph Friday, Oct. 23 as part of the Green Mountain Christian Film Festival.

Faith and Family Films will present “Reno Collier Live” at 7 PM at the Baptist Fellowship of Randolph, 1051 VT Route 66. Doors open at 6:15 PM.

Collier has appeared on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour and Comedy Central and has toured with Larry the Cable Guy, Jeff Foxworthy and other nationally known comedians. Organizers say Collier also incorporates his Christian faith and recovery story into his comedy.

The performance is part of the Green Mountain Christian Film Festival, scheduled for Oct. 23-24. Organizers describe the show as clean, family-friendly comedy suitable for all ages. Free parking will be available.

Dorset Field Club to host golf event supporting state troopers – The Dorset Field Club will host an invitational golf event Monday, Oct. 5, to demonstrate support and appreciation for members of the Vermont Troopers Association.

The event is being organized by Dorset resident and Field Club member David Meiselman and is intended to recognize the “dedicated and courageous men and women who put themselves on the line” for community safety.

Sponsors include The Mack Group, Bank of Bennington, Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, rk MILES, H.N. Williams, the Keelan Family Foundation and the Meiselman Family Trust. Organizers also thanked Dorset Field Club Head Golf Pro Patrick Berry, Food and Beverage Director Seth Dunne and Vermont Troopers Association Executive Director Mike O’Neil for their assistance.

Established in 1886, the Dorset Field Club is described by organizers as the oldest continuously operating golf course in the United States and one of the 25 oldest in the world.
