A 33-year-old Leicester man is being held on $250,000 bail following his arrest in connection with extraditable warrants from Pennsylvania, according to Vermont State Police.

State police said Robbie Morgan was taken into custody without incident on Dec. 10 after troopers from the Shaftsbury Barracks located him as part of a joint investigation. Pennsylvania State Police had earlier notified Vermont authorities that Morgan was believed to be living within the New Haven Barracks coverage area and was wanted on extraditable warrants.

According to an August, 2025 Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) report, Robbie John Morgan, 33, a convicted felon and fugitive from South Carolina, had engaged a neighbor with aggressive and hostile language while displaying a semi-automatic 40cal pistol.

Morgan fled the scene but the pistol was located and seized by PSP – still containing live ammunition in the magazine.

The Vermont investigation began Oct. 1, when troopers with the Vermont State Police New Haven Barracks received the notification from Pennsylvania. Assistance in the case came from members of the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury and New Haven barracks, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the Bennington County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Morgan is currently being held at the Marble Valley Correctional Facility. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 11 in Bennington County Superior Court, Criminal Division. Court dates and times are subject to change.
