Last week, Rep. Anne Donahue (R-Northfield) tried to amend the abortion/transgender shield bill to include conscience protection for health care professionals not wishing to participate. The acting Speaker of the House refused to allow a vote on her proposed amendment, and the bill passed overwhelmingly. It now goes to the Senate.
