Towns across Vermont will hold town meetings today, but Vershire is not among them.

by Alex Nuti -de Biasi, Journal-Opinion

Vershire officials postponed town meeting to Saturday, April 11 after the town failed to comply with state law that requires town reports to be distributed to the voters of the town at least 10 days before town meeting.

Both the deliberative session and the Australian ballot voting have been rescheduled for April. The town’s informal pre-town meeting informational session has also been postponed. That will now be held on Thursday, April 9 at 6 p.m., per an announcement on the town website.

As for other area towns, the following will hold their deliberative sessions today beginning at 10 a.m., save for Ryegate which begins at 1 p.m.

Bradford, Thetford, and West Fairlee held their deliberative sessions on Saturday. All have ballot voting today for municipal officers (all three), town budget (West Fairlee only), and school budget (Thetford only).
