A shortage of lawyers huh ? What’s next, a shortage of sea lampreys ? How about mosquitoes and black flies ? Why not do what we do when we need anything else, import them from China !

I’m not sure I see a downside here?
If you don’t believe that too many lawyers is a problem, just look at what Washington DC has done to the country. Then, think about Vermont on a smaller scale. What we truly need is less lawyers and less legislators. Imagine, 180 in the house and 30 in the senate all making life here miserable.
I don’t know if it is still the case, but at one time there were more people self identified as lawyers per capita in Montpelier, during Legislative session than any other city in the country ! Just another reason to get out of Dodge ! (Mount Peculiar)
And that is a bad thing??
