Co-pastors Rick and Carmen Menard are retiring after 25 years at New Beginnings Church in St. Johnsbury.
New Beginnings began as a prayer gathering in the Tae Kwon Do studio the couple built onto the back of their home. Rick, 62, has been a fulltime pastor. Carmen worked for 34 years at the Passumpsic Savings Bank and co-pastored in her ‘spare’ time. During their tenure, the Menards were active in many statewide ministries, including prison ministry.
A celebration of their ministry is planned for Sunday 3-5 pm at Union Baptist Church in Waterford.

I remember when the Menard’s just before they started out,Rick asked me in the Bradford Dinner what he might do amongst much criticism,I answered,”be strong in the Lord and the power of His might!”I now have to say he and his wife listened to the Lord!!
I met Pastor Rick at a Church At Prison Conference in St Johnsbury in 2004 or 2005. A powerful, anointed man of God. Forever touched my life.
