On February 16, 2025, Vermont State Police arrested Christopher J. Collins, 44, of Orange, following a crash on Richardson Road.
Troopers responded at 4:29 AM and located Collins, who showed signs of impairment. Troopers determined Collins had struck property before crashing his car.
As officers attempted to take him into custody for DUI, Collins allegedly assaulted two law enforcement officers and resisted arrest. He was processed and released with a citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court on May 4.

On February 15, 2025, Vermont State Police arrested Travis Basnar, 23, of Bradford, for DUI and Donna Guillette, 22, of Norwich, for impeding public officers and resisting arrest.
