On Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 1-3 pm, a group from the Knights of Columbus will be commemorating the feast of Christmas and honoring our Savior, Jesus Christ, with a Nativity scene, prayer and Christmas hymns.
“We will be praying for the State of Vermont and our government leaders, as well as continuing the Christmas celebration – a time when we thank God, the Creator, who deigned to dwell among us in time and on this earth, to suffer, die and rise again, that we might achieve Salvation and eternal life,” organizer Tom Kelly said.
A local chapter of the Knights, Council No. 399, St. Monica Church, Barre, is sponsoring the event which is part of a national effort spearheaded by the Knights to bring Nativity scenes to the various statehouse grounds throughout the United States.
Some 40 of the 50 states have participated. All members of the public are welcome.
