Fire destroys clubhouse at Sugarbush Resort Golf Club overnight

No injuries were reported. However the Clubhouse and Hogan's Pub suffered irreparable damage.

A devastating fire broke out at the Sugarbush Resort Golf Club Wednesday night September 24 at about 10:30 PM, reducing the Clubhouse and Hogan’s Pub to irreparable ruins. The Warren Volunteer Fire Department, alongside the Waitsfield and Fayston Fire Departments, responded swiftly to the blaze.

No injuries were reported. However the Clubhouse and Hogan’s Pub suffered irreparable damage. 

“We want to sincerely thank the Warren, Waitsfield, and Fayston fire departments for their hard work and professionalism. We are currently working through a plan to continue golf operations for the remainder of the season and will share more information as soon as we have it,” wrote a Sugarbush Resort spokesperson on the resort’s Facebook page. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The resort is actively developing a plan to maintain golf operations for the remainder of the season and promises to provide updates as soon as possible.
