A New York woman charged with taking $2000 worth of goods from a Rutland Home Depot is being held in jail on $500 bail, state police say.
Monday, September 18, at about 8:30 pm, troopers learned of a shoplifting complaint at Home Depot located in Rutland Town. They found a vehicle in the parking area that was associated with the initial complaint and made contact with a female who was identified as Ashley Lynn Buckley (29) of New York. They found that Buckley had taken over $2,000 of merchandise from the store without paying. She was taken into custody and lodged at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility on $500 bail.
Under Vermont law, retail theft above $900 is a felony. Media sources say Buckley is from Corinth, NY, a Saratoga County town also known as the ‘snowshoe capital of the world.’
‘Ghost gun’ ammo possession gets MA man federal sentence – Gabriel Lebron, 32, of Florence, Massachusetts, was sentenced in federal court September 13 to 27 months’ imprisonment followed by a 3-year term of supervised release after he pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of ammunition as a convicted felon.
According to court records, on October 12, 2022, Lebron was arrested while attempting to flee a residence in Bennington during the execution of a search warrant. Law enforcement recovered from Lebron’s person a privately manufactured firearm, or “ghost gun.” The firearm had a round in the chamber and a fully loaded 15-round magazine. Lebron was also found to be in possession of fentanyl packaged for sale. In 2021, Lebron received multiple felony convictions in Massachusetts for firearms and other weapons offenses, which prohibited him under federal law from possessing the ammunition loaded in the ghost gun seized on October 12.
