Driver whose I-Phone informed of fatal crash identified

State police have identified the victims in two recent fatal crashes.

Matthew Flood, 34, of Walden died when his pickup truck left Vt. Rte. 232 in Groton near the Kettle Pond access road shortly before 11 PM, Monday September 16. State police say the truck was found rolled over, off the highway, with Flood dead at the scene. 

Shelby Adams-Cherrier, 26, of St. Albans died in the early morning of Saturday, September 14 after her car left the Highgate Road in Swanton and crashed into the trees. 

State police were informed by Adams-Cherrier’s I-Phone’s Apple Crash Detection. Missisquoi Valley Rescue and the Swanton Fire Department also responded to the scene. Upon responder arrival, a Subaru Forester was found at a position of rest off the roadway into trees. Adams-Cherrier was deceased.
