Vermont State Police are investigating a reported suspicious incident involving a juvenile and an unknown female motorist on German Flats Road in Fayston on Tuesday morning, Jan. 27.
According to state police, the Berlin Barracks received a report at about 10:23 a.m. regarding an encounter that is believed to have occurred between approximately 9:35 and 9:45 a.m. A student walking to Fayston Elementary School reported being approached by a woman who pulled over in her vehicle and attempted to get the child into the car.
Police described the woman as being in her 50s, with dyed orange hair pulled back into a bun, and wearing blue clothing. She was reportedly driving a blue sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry or Toyota Prius, with Vermont license plates. The vehicle is believed to have headed west on German Flats Road following the encounter.
No injuries were reported, and police did not release the age or identity of the juvenile.
Vermont State Police are asking anyone who may have observed suspicious activity in the area of German Flats Road during the time frame of the incident, or who may have information that could assist the investigation, to contact the Berlin Barracks at 802-229-9191.
