Dear Mr. Vice-President: the law has been broken and the Constitution defiled

The following open letter to Vice-President Mike Pence was submitted yesterday by Bob Orleck of Randolph, a retired pharmacist, federal prosecutor and former assistant Vermont attorney general, and other concerned Vermonters.

December 30, 2020

The Vice President

Old Executive Office Building

Washington, DC 20501

Dear Mr. Vice President:

There will be Vermonters coming to Washington next week with others from across the nation to support you in the difficult task you face as President of the Senate.  Others have shunned their sworn duties and much damage has been done.  As a result, you will be standing alone at that moment to do your sworn duty to defend the United States against all foreign and domestic enemies by protecting our God given rights under the Constitution.  What you do there will determine life or death for many in the future as well as for the survival of our Republic.  A Biden presidency will undo much of the good works done in the four years of your administration and even if he is deprived of Senate control, the damage he will inflict by executive order will be incalculable.  What will follow that as they take us down the path of socialism is written on the pages of world history and the tomb stones of the hundreds of millions of lives that it took.

We must have four more years to solidify all the good work done in the first four years that brought back those feelings we cherish of patriotism, pride, love of country, hope and assurance that we are back on the right track.

As patriotic, law abiding citizens, we maintained an abiding belief that if any person in power abused our Constitution and the rights it bestowed, that our Supreme Court was there to set the record straight, get us back on track and hold the offenders accountable.  What a shock when in the face of such obvious Constitutional violations by the states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, Nevada and Georgia, a valid challenge by Texas that it was negatively affected as a state by the illegal actions of these other states, our high court took a page from Joe Biden’s campaign style and they hid in the basement of the Supreme Court building.

The US Supreme Court must be called out to make a declaration that laws have been broken and the Constitution defiled.  Mr. Vice President, if you reject the offer from the above states and declare the reason, is there little doubt that the Supreme Court will be forced to address the issues in a timely manner?  How could they not?  By doing that they will be affirming your decision to not accept those electors or any electors.  When these Electoral Votes are removed from the Biden column, his numbers drop below that of President Trump, who as a result is re-elected.

We are asking that you take that bold step to restore the trust and integrity that was once the hallmark of American elections, envied by the world.  We know there will be costs to pay for fighting this battle but how can we do otherwise?  The forces at work to destroy our Republic are on the march and they must be stopped on January 6

.  We will be there for you on Wednesday and we will be with you for all the days after and for as long as it takes.

Thank you and God Bless you Mr. Vice President.

  1. Nothing in this letter is true. No election laws have been broken. This was a fair and free election. Those of you that think otherwise are traitors and delusional. Biden will be sworn in on the 20th and there’s NOTHING you sore losers can do about it, thank God.

    • People are waking up to the leftist lies. The evil undercurrent is finally being exposed & destroyed! God wins.

  2. It’s becoming clear. When the legislature and the courts refuse to hear requests for injunctive relief from those breaking our laws (e.g. election laws), citizens have no recourse other than to break the law too, and force consideration under the equal protections afforded by our Constitution. In other words, if they break the law, we can break the law. And if the courts prosecute me for breaking the law, they must prosecute the others as well.

Of course, this eventuality will lead first to anarchy, until it becomes untenable. And the results are anyone’s guess – first Totalitarianism, then Revolution, and then, hopefully, a return to our Constitutional Republic.

As we welcome the New Year, I hope everyone understands that we’re in for some tough times ahead. This scenario is just beginning.

  3. Thank you so much for writing this letter, Mr. Orleck! I also emailed the VP to encourage him to stand firm. He is a man of faith and I hope he will beseech the Almighty to guide him.

  4. Thanks Kathy: I was hoping there would be a way to do a sign the letter but Guy said he could not do that for some reason. If you would like your name added to the letter that will go out tomorrow, send me a simple note to add your name to the letter. Include your town. That goes for all who read this. • Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) on Thursday ripped an effort by fellow Republicans to challenge the election results in Congress next week, calling it a “dangerous ploy.”

“Let’s be clear what is happening here: We have a bunch of ambitious politicians who think there’s a quick way to tap into the president’s populist base without doing any real, long-term damage,” Sasse wrote in an open letter to constituents.

“But they’re wrong — and this issue is bigger than anyone’s personal ambitions. Adults don’t point a loaded gun at the heart of legitimate self-government,”

I condemn your piece of writing. I condemn it in the strongest possible terms. I find it unAmerican, and contemptible.

  5. You are neither patriotic nor law abiding as you suggest. You are part of an attempted coup. Go ahead and wrap yourselves in the false flag of rebellion. The South did the same. Why not, instead, get to work repairing our country by conceding that someone else won the election. It is not hard. It happened the other way around in 2000 and Vice President Gore presided over the election of President Bush. What scares you so much about all this?

    • If you had doubts about the legitimacy of the election, what would you do, Kevin? serious question- as you once said to JK, “Lead me Obi Wan”
