
Vermont State Police are investigating the theft of more than $18,000 from an ATM at the 802 Credit Union in Rochester late Sunday night.
Police said a man broke into the ATM at the credit union at 96 N. Main St. in the Windsor County town sometime between 10 PM Sunday, Aug. 30, and midnight. The theft was reported to the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks at about 12:47 PM Monday.
According to police, $18,420 was stolen from the machine.
The suspect was captured in an image wearing a red hoodie and black pants, police said. No additional description was released.
State police are investigating possible charges of grand larceny and access to a computer for fraudulent purposes.
