AirTag stalker suspect / catalytic converter heist

DANVILLE — A 45-year-old man was charged with stalking following an incident in Danville on Thursday.

Authorities were notified that an AirTag had been placed in a woman’s vehicle.

Her iPhone had notified her of it at around 2:15 p.m.

The woman told police that she believed that her ex had placed the AirTag in the taillight area because he had replaced the taillight a few days prior.

The man was identified Joshua Barnes.

Police say they spoke with Barnes who admitted to placing the AirTag in the car. Barnes was charged with stalking.

ST. JOHNSBURY — Police are investigating the theft of catalytic converters in St. Johnsbury last week.

The catalytic converters were stolen from Lyndon Truck Center & Gills Point S Tire & Auto sometime between 5 pm on Tuesday, and 8 am on Wednesday.

Police say a total of 10 catalytic converters were stolen.
