A man recently arrested in Burlington police tactical squad raid faces federal drug distribution charges.

Jahking Allah, 44, also known as “Stop Sign,” from Quaker Hill, Connecticut, was apprehended in the early morning of January 19 and charged in federal court with distributing cocaine base, according to the United States Attorney for the District of Vermont.

Court records reveal that Allah conducted two cocaine base sales to a cooperating individual in Burlington during January 2024. On the day of his arrest, law enforcement executed a search warrant at 195 St. Paul Street, Apartment A, where Allah was residing. Found inside the apartment were seven handguns, two of which were reported stolen. This marks one of the largest seizures of pistols by the Burlington Police Department during a single search warrant operation. About 85 grams of suspected cocaine base, about 25 grams of suspected fentanyl, and multiple digital scales were found.

If convicted, Allah could face a maximum prison sentence of 20 years. U.S. Attorney Nikolas Kerest commended the Burlington Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration for their collaborative investigative efforts. Assistant United States Attorney Nicole Cate is the prosecutor in this case, while Allah is represented by the Office of the Federal Public Defender.
