To the editor:
My name is Savannah Coelho, and I am the Upstate Field Representative for Turning Point USA in the Upstate Territory (Western MA, Upstate NY, Vermont). We are expanding our presence in the upstate territory, and we are always looking to gain more members. Turning Point USA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2012 by Charlie Kirk. The organization’s mission is to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of fiscal responsibility, free markets, and limited government. We have over 1,000 chapters nationwide, and we are the largest student activism organization in the country.
We are always looking for new activists to get involved nationwide, which can be from high schools, homeschool groups, youth groups, churches, and colleges. More information can be found on our website.
Many of our existing chapters in the Upstate Territory are very active in their communities, and by connecting with even larger groups at our national conferences, it motivates our chapters to do more. Our conferences train and motivate students and activists, which is a worthwhile investment for the conservative movement. Many students and activists are unable to attend our conferences due to financial concerns, which is unfortunate due to their dedication, performance, and passion.
The next event we have coming up is Americafest, which will take place in Phoenix, Arizona this December. Donations to sponsor a local student to attend helps us continue and grow our mission. Donations can be specified by writing “Upstate Territory” as the chapter to support, as well as specific students to sponsor. General donations can be made to “Upstate Territory”, and funds will be distributed evenly to all students in the territory.
I look forward to hearing from you, and thank you for all that you do,
