Cops seek masked armed robber

Remember when entering a store or a bank wearing a mask was a suspicious act? Police are looking for a man wearing a surgical mask who held up a Fair Haven gas station at knifepoint.

The Vermont State Police is investigating an armed robbery that took place Wednesday afternoon, July 28 at Mac’s gas station in Fair Haven. No one was injured in the incident, which was reported to police at 2:44 p.m.

Investigation showed that a lone man entered the store, displayed a knife that was about 5-6 inches long, and demanded the clerk hand over money from the cash drawer and the safe.

The man was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, light-colored jeans with rips in the legs, and a flat-brimmed, dark-colored baseball cap. He fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash in a green bank bag with a broken zipper.

Anyone with information that may be relevant to this investigation is asked to contact the Vermont State Police in Rutland at 802-773-9101.

  1. How DARE the police label this human being a man? Perhaps this person remains undecided as to their gender? Or what if this supposed man identified as a woman that day they robbed the bank?

I’m so offended by this. The only equitable thing to do is, if they are found, to allow them to go free to commit armed robbery again.

  2. Maybe some left-wing group or individual will take notice of this man’s troubles and start a gofundme site to purchase a new zipper pouch for him. It is a sad commentary on a society when someone with such initiative lacks the proper tools to practice his trade.

  3. Maybe some group or individual who would like to see this kinds of rampant crimes be dealt with properly will start a gofundme site to purchase decent security cameras for retail establishments.
Of course, catching the dirtbags is only part of the equation…it also requires voters who will elect prosecutors who take these crimes seriously, and who dont believe that incarceration of dangerous people is an obsolete concept.
